Help me recommend a phone for my SO

Opinions on the best Android phone <$300, hopefully closer to $200. I'm pretty out of the loop on what's current. She values screen size, capacity, and camera. Main activities are browsing and pictures. thanks!

Speaking of Samsung firmware bugs, wasn't there a big announcement a while ago that they were rolling out a second fix for that same issue because it resurfaced? I never received a firmware update notice.

15" programmer laptop?

I'm thinking of a new laptop, right now I am on a 13" Macbook Pro (mid 2010), but I never took to OS X so I am currently only running Windows 8. Several thins have me wanting a new laptop: - screen a bit too small for programming - feeling slow - getting Windows, Linux and OS X triple...

Nvidia NVRAID - "teh suck"?

I know.. it is scary and I probly never should have depended on it to begin with.. but we have no IT budget to speak of. I'm thinking about the Highpoint Rocketraid 1820a which got good reviews. I guess the moral is to not trust the "market speak" that companies throw at you.
