I love newegg. UPS delivered my Antec Sonata III to the wrong house and newegg was going to send me a brand new one free of charge and free shipping. I ended up telling newegg thanks but never mind when someone from a street down brought it to my door. Like Ness said, crap happens. Give...
Anything from this current generation is better. I went from the 256MB version of your card OCed to near 7900 GTX speeds, to a NON-OCed HD 3850 256MB. The 3850 won at stock speed. When I OCed the 3850 to 3870 speeds it kicked the crap out of it. And we all know how the 8800GT fairs against...
I have Logitech Z-5300 and Turtlebeach HDA2 surround sound headphones. I'm certain they are connected correctly. I went from XP to vista and that's when all my audio troubles started. Some drivers fix the problem, but then they introduce new ones. I thought the latest drivers solved my...
Creative's latest X-Fi drivers get the distinct honor of giving me my very first Vista blue screen...and that's using Vista on 4 different machines with varying hardware over the past year. I've had it with their piece of $hit drivers, randomly cutting out, deciding that the rear left speaker is...

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing! But then I realized I was the retarded one. I was actually seeing the switch for the rear window release, which is right above the hood release :o
So I'm intstalling a deck in my CRV for the first time and I disconnet the negative terminal from the battery and shut the hood. I didn't realize that the latch to release the hood is powered and since the battery is disconnected, I can't open the hood. Any help would be appreciated :o
Is it possible to create a shortcut that executes sleep, rather than hibernate? All scripts that I've seen around the internet use powrprof.dll or shutdown.exe. Both cause my system to hibernate, rather than sleep.
I have two 650s in my Vista 32bit media center and I couldn't be happier. I didn't bother installing the ATI's drivers since Vista installed working drivers for me.
I didn't have to in Windows Vista, but it has a different driver model so I'm not sure about Windows XP. I always used coolbits in XP. I removed the driver in safe mode under Vista, rebooted and loaded the new driver in safe mode and then rebooted again and ntune still worked.
Well I got a B3, but I'm not disappointed at all. 355x9 for 3.19GHz with 1.32 volts and my average core temp is 60 degrees. Core 0 and 1 seem to run ~4 degrees warmer than the other 2. I'm using a Freezer 7 for cooling by the way.
I ordered my system from newegg on Sunday. Shipped today from California and should get here Thursday. Woohoo! I guess I'll see if there's anything to this G0 claim. Newegg did bump the price up $5 today either anticipating demand because they do have G0s or in response to everyone buying...
I was a victim of the nvlddmkm blue screen errors with an 8600 GT in Vista 32bit. No one knows why some have FLAWLESS gaming machines and other get the error when playing ANY game.
It seems that it's a minority and mainly with nvidia 6 series MBs, but I have p965 chipset so go figure...
I agree. The foliage didn't respond to the characters movement as well as we've been shown iin other videos. Not sure if they had to tune it down or what. The game still looks very fun.
I'm about to pull the trigger on a HD2600 XT GDDR3 card. I'm going to put it in my media center so gaming is not a requirement.
I currently have a 7800 GTX in my Vista x86 media center (I was running SLI in my gaming machine) and it's served me very well. I get no crashes and it's stable...
From what I can tell, A lot of the manufacturers skipped on making the 8600 GT HDCP compliant and just focused on the 8500 GT and the 8600 GTS. The Asus 8600 GT supports HDCP, but it takes up 2 slots.
Do you mean the Asus laptop? If so, then not quite. It has all the capabilities of the Ricavision remote, its just attached to the laptop so no need for the bluetooth. I agree about the bluetooth over the IR. The MCE remote is pretty good, by keyboards have been hit and miss for me. I'm...
I've been waiting on sideshow remotes since CES. From what I can tell, they're all taking their sweet time. Only Asus and and some digital picture frame manufacturer are shipping sideshow devices.
I'm afraid I must disagree that 256 being enough (granted your system is using DDR RAM). My old development machine at work was a P3 933 with 256 MB PC-133 of RAM (this was just 6 months ago). It took 20 minutes for it to boot and setup the security policy. Launching outlook took 2-3 minutes...
I can't believe how this discussion has spiraled out of control. Has anyone actually tried these features in Vista before screaming bloody murder? I have tried a few things and I can say that Vista is not the big brother that everyone is making it out to seem. More testing is needed with...
