would RMA even be possible on a black edition chip after i've overclocked it and used an aftermarket heatsink and thermal paste, not to mention used it for roughly 4 months? I'm pretty sure i destroyed the warranty on this thing.

oops, yeah, i was thinking the AMD overdrive. I don't think i have ACC on, if i do, somehow, have it turned on - it must be by using a different name. As i said, i'm currently running everything stock, so i disabled all overclocking measures.

Would that continue even if i haven't used it in a long time? ACC shows -256c per core. Without it on, everything else shows 0'c. I used ACC to get up to a stable 3.6ghz and then, after realizing that the heat and the power both were not necessary, i went down to stock and turned on C&Q...

I wish i could remember exactly when this problem started, but i can't recall. When i realized that my temperatures were all within safe limits, i stopped monitoring them 24/7. At some point my temps started reading as 0'c for most programs (Core temp, speedfan, AMD overdrive, hardware...

"Wii isn't designed to work with high-end HDTVs" says Nintendo Sr. Tech Support

One of the more recent Wii updates let's the Wii's fan kick on if the WiFi chip is getting too hot, even during Wii Connect 24. It's a shame it took so long for them to fix the problem, but i don't believe you have to worry about it anymore, as long as you let your Wii update.

Valve games and mice

I use an old Microsoft intellimouse 1.1 I've used Mouse4 and Mouse5 in every single source game i've ever attempted. I even use them on all games based on the HL1 engine. They bind perfectly fine in the options menu. (I use Mouse4 for reload, and mouse5 for "use")

New case from cooler master

To anyone who has the case, is there enough room in it to fit 6 harddrives with active cooling? It looks plausible, but cable management might make it very difficult.

My CPU is degrading

I've been using an actual overclocked graphics card (350/1.0 is standard, mines been over 410/1.10) for almost 3 years straight now. It's still entirely stable. I had an AMD 64 3000+ running at 2.4ish ghz for 1.5 years, and it was also entirely stable. It never degraded. (Just got fried...

Well, they are just normal 120mm fans, if you found some 120mm orange fans, i don't see why you couldn't just replace them all.

16:10 LCD and letterbox?

I'm actually glad to have a little letterboxing. It allows for some room for subtitles to fit underneath the picture. Of course, if you don't watch as many foreign films as i do; i can see how it'd be a little bit more annoying.

Anyone have a Cosmos case? What do you think of it?

I'm liking the (internal) look of the case from what I've seen of various reviews. I just need to know if it can hold an extra long card (8800GTX for instance) as well as 6+ harddrives and maintain cooling.... I'm really thinking about the Antec twelve hundred, but i have no idea when that...

TF2 beta with Orange Box Pre-Order

Friendly Fire being "on" scares the hell out of me for TF2. It's just far too chaotic of a game to have it on standard. think of the children!

Audigy 2 ZS: a decent upgrade?

I've been using an Audigy 2 ZS for nearly 3 years now; and while it was superior to my onboard; the main reasoning behind that was because of my surround sound setup and EAX for videogame use. If you're going to stick with a 2.1 setup; i don't believe that you'll be getting all too much...

Neighbor gave me computer that needs a HDD

I recently acquired an athlon XP 2.0ghz or so for free; because it was "instable to the point wanting to destroy it" I simply cleaned up some malware/software, fixed the cooling and it's stable. I shoved in a spare 6800GT i had (woo); threw in a Wireless card and did some tweaks; now it works...

Replacing front 120 mm fan on Antec Super Lanboy?

Weird; I just doublechecked to make sure - my Super Lanboy doesn't have that connecter at all. My fan goes straight out to a typical 4pin connector (Which i have connected to a fanspeed controller).

Who said Supereme Commander runs faster with a quad-core?

I gained a noticeable improvement from a 939 AMD 3000+ with 1 gig of ram to an AM2 4600+ and 2 gigs of ram. Of course; considering that just about every single component except for the videocard has changed - i can very easily see where the improvement happened.

Geometry Wars for the PC : Trouble Shoot (FIXED)

This is odd; cause on an AMD 2500+ (barton) 512 megs of ram and a 6800GT; the game is actually running quite smoothly on this machine. I should have my normal PC revamped within the week; but if the performance goes down; i'll be very perplexed.

Shadowrun PC game

Wahoyaho: It's based upon the same universe, an old Tabletop RPG game. I saw the price to be $50 or $60, which takes shadowrun out of the wantable pile for me. Even though i could never even run the game as I'm lacking in windows vista and don't plan on upgrading for a while longer.

Guild Wars _ what hybrids do well

Buffing spells. Go in melee, shove on some sort of Elementalist wards and armors, and you have one hell of a tank. Focused (on character) AoE spells also work very well when you cfan tank enough to survive being surrounded.

Guild Wars _ what hybrids do well

Warrior/Elementalist was actually my favorite combo; although my Ranger/Assassin was pretty damn cool in Factions. Likewise, I remember making a Mesmer/Necro that was simply annoying as hell to deal with - DOTs all over the place.

AIM messenger add-ons similar to Deadaim?

I personally never saw any reason to have conversations with my away message up; nor any reason to go invisible, I find these functions kind of aggravating when someone else uses them, honestly. So, Aim 5.5~ and deadaim for me.

I've been using Deadaim + Aim 5.5~ for quite a few years. I remember that something called "Aimutation" way back when might be what you're looking for. I just became accustomed to deadaim, and after having my logs for the past 3 years in deadaim format - I don't want to try and change.

Winamo and mp3 player support

I've been using Winamp and ml_ipod for over a year now with my ipod and have had no trouble. It may not have all of the features that itunes has with an ipod; but when i need to create playlists, sync all 50+ gigs of my music, maybe throw on a movie or two, podcasts, audiobooks... etc., ml_ipod...
