Update to this problem. I've noticed that when I shut the pc down it will eventually turn back on. When this happens if I just shut it off again, it says off.

It came on. Probably gotta bend the pins a bit.
Yes!! Having the reset switch pulled did not make it start while I was gone at work, I put it all back together. I'll report back in the next few days (or hours lol) to see how progress goes.
I appreciate the help you all have given.
Okay, well all wires plugged directly in the board didn't help. My PC turned on a few minutes after I powered it down. So, now time to narrow it down. Unplugged the reset sw only before I left for work.
I unplugged the block that holds all my power sw/reset sw/leds while the PC was on then shut the PC off with the button on the motherboard (left PSU alone). The PC did not turn on at night. Safe to say that block is bad? I plugged in the power/reset/leds directly to the motherboard, now time...
Let's say bumping the mouse or the keys don't do anything because the PC is off... Why would it turn on?
I haven't tried the exact option above yet, I did unplug the power/reset block on the motherboard. I will power on now and power off to see if that did anything.
Does the fix above need...
$600 won't give you much (or any) of a gaming PC. These are not like consoles...
The PC I have in my specs was about $1,400 and that was with recycling my HD, monitor and Windows 7. I would say my PC is the upper end of a mid-range gaming PC.
PC's can be upgraded as you feel - you can reuse...
Ok, so it appears that if I shut the PC down, power off the PSU, then power the PSU back on I don't get any random boot-ups. It was off for a couple hours, until I came on now.
Hey all, I recently built a new PC (see specs in signature) and I have a weird problem. Every time I turn my PC off, it just turns back on a few minutes later. I've looked at every wake on lan setting in my motherboard, checked windows power and even network adapter power managment settings...
I believe I solved my problem. After running Prime95 on the device, running RAM tests, checking the HD for bad sectors and doing a full wipe on the drive I still found no issues. I installed and activated Windows 7 Pro successfully using the images posted above. I also successfully updated...
I'm going to run some diagonistics (this PC doesn't have it built in like my 755) I'm downloading Hirens Boot CD - I ran memtest and the ram and it passed.
I'll try the images from this site, but I have not activated any of the copies yet. I'm just trying to get the computer setup and all...
I used my copy of Windows 7 Professional, no luck. So I downloaded a Dell version of 7 Ultimate and installed it via usb drive to try out and I experienced the same issues. The only thing I can think of is trying to put XP on it, which I am avoiding.
It seriously boggles my mind how with...
I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking for with that app...
For instance, I downloaded the Dell System Detect app for drivers from their site and I get the error 'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application.'
I also ran memtest and...
Hey all, I hope someone here can help me. I've been going crazy trying to figure out this issue. I have a Dell Optiplex 745, and I can't install much on it even after a complete fresh install using my OS disk. When I download programs, they error out after they launch or do nothing. Also...
Q9550 if you can find a good deal.
I just came from an E8400 and after looking at prices on that... my old machine isn't worth anything. Giving it to my father since he's using an old Dell P4 from 2001...
I got the Thermaltake S71 Urban. I'm very happy with mine. It has a fan filter on the top, bottom and front. Super quiet, and a damn good looking case.
I pretty much tried all this. I can hear the speakers popping and changing tone when the computer boots. Right before it completes booting it pops (I assume indicating sound is starting), but no matter what I get no sound. All sliders are not muted, I just get random popping and a lot of loud...
I didn't try this, but I am using DVI now... no difference.
I called ASUS, we troubleshooted, then called the place I got it from. I'm getting a new one.
Well, I think it's safe to say I have an issue. I've installed only the graphics driver and removed the Intel Graphics driver. The Computer knows that the green and pink are plugged in as shown in the photo, but no matter what I don't get sound. I noticed that after uninstalling all HDMI...
Oh yeah, I've switched between all devices, nothing makes sound out of the device :-/ Maybe a conflict between on-board video and the GTX 560? I'm not a noob when it comes to this stuff... but I've seriously tried everything. Unless I missed something in the bios I'm lost...
I'd imagine if...
I just built a brand new PC and used some old parts from my last system. Let me list my system specs for you all before posing my question.
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-Pro
CPU: Intel i7 4770k
CPU Cooler: SilverStone AR03
RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance
Case: Thermaltake Urban S71
GPU: GTX 560 (from old...
Help me here guys, I was looking through the sager 6800 go ultra bios and found this
Pic 1
On the left is the Sager bios and on the right is the Dell bios. If both are ultra cards and the sager bios clearly state NV42 why does it have a board ID of NV41?
What would happen if I matched...
Ronin, DL the latest version of NiBitor (2.3), I submitted the author my bios and you can now change the clocks to your desire :)
I did test it myself, all I did was a 450/1100 and it worked fine.
Changes in this Version
