Which is a really good watercooling setup to get?

masterkleer 7/16 $.38/ft @ mcmaster.com - suggest getting 20ft. you can do the inlet mod on the mcp350 yourself and save yourself some $$$ and it's not hard at all.

are their any fan temps/dba comparisons out there?

http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&articID=421 I tried the GlobalWin NCB 120mm from SVC.com they were pretty silent but I ended up getting led Yate Loons. I have 2 of the D12SM and one of the D12SL. The SL has more motor noise than the SM version. I'm still trying to find another SM.

    Is this a good pump.

I guess your going to be using an external then? for 10' of tubing, right? I did it with my 1st loop 3yrs ago. had my BigMama rad with a 120mm Sunon in the closet that had a window. It did work pretty good. I used a QuietOne 1200 pump. Don't even bother with those..they get real loud so don't...

Water Cooling v. Air Cooling in new build?

if you want high performance, neither h20 or air will be silent. you will be able to get much more silence with h20 with the same performance as with air, tho. But high performance and silence can't be had...they'll always be some amount of noise. as for the 7/16" tubing over 1/2" barbs...

Question about processors w/ broken pins

why would it take anyone 'several weeks' to fix a broken pin? it took me like 8 min to solder the wire on...had to be real steady with the wire. all you have to do is tin one end of it then use tweezers to hold it in place and touch the end of the wire and it'll solder on to the empty peg. then...

heya I posted on that thread and I fixed my s478 2.4ghz P4. it had 2 pins that were totally folded over!! I straightened 1 out and the other broke off. are there any quiet or semi-quiet 120MM fans

I read that review and I got those Global Wins. If I didn't want to go LED, I'd a kept them. They are excellent and are very quiet. If they ever make an LED 120 NCB, I may go with them...but for now it's yate loon for me.

    Clamps for tubing

I've only used Masterkleer and I've never had (1)discoloration happen to me. you put the end of the tubing about 2 inches in hot water so (2)flexibility is not compromised. And (3)'particles'...that's news to me. Been watercooling since '04 and have never had any of these problems...

Looking for new, high-performance yet noiseless WC set

you need 1/2" x 1/4" or 3/8" NPT barbs. or you could get a 1/2" T and cut the barbs off. then shave down the 3/8" barbs on the pump you already have. Epoxy the 1/2" cut barbs over the shaved down 3/8" barbs...or you can do what cathar told me to do and put a 1" piece of 3/8" tubing over the...

    watercooling coolant question

nothing will cool better than straight h20. all the other stuf[water wetter, a/f, pentosin] is mainly used to minimize the chemical reaction between non-like metals in a loop, to keep bacteria from forming, and for looks. none of the 'additives' will make your system cool better...many tests...

    CASE FAN HELP!!!

can you post what your w/c rig consists of? there's a big diff when using rads or heater cores. eg. I'm using a 2-342 single pass heater core and 2 120mm blue led Yate loons on a Cool Drive 6. They also on a 1.75" acrylic shroud. I probably should be using stronger fans but I don't want...

    Clamps for tubing

if you use 7/16" ID x 5/8" OD Masterkleer tubing you won't need clamps. just put the tubing in boiled water and slip them over the 1/2" barbs. use black zip ties if you want to but they're not needed. yes, ss worm drive clamps have been used for w/cing for years and some people swear by...

    Watercooling computer guide

not sure but I think you have the inlet tube from the rad to the wrong barb on your Apogee...should be going to the barb in the middle that is directly over the core. also just a thought.. you should be able to cut down your tubing length if you mounted the pump on the mb tray just above the...

    Cutting acrylic

how big a hole do you need it to be? you can use a hole saw. I would suggest taking the door off, taping the whole surface with painters tape..thats front and back. then when using the hole saw you'll need to keep the saw cool when you cut it. don't go too fast and use lots of lubricant. I...
