BrandonT, in message #23 I somehow overlooked your comments about CPU temperatures. That doesn't sound quite right. The only thing that I've read about CPU temps and AI Suite II is that AI Suite II can give erroneous results (temps) if more than one hardware monitoring program is being run at...
You're welcome Brandon.
I'm currently using BIOS version 1206 without any issues at all but I do realize that others have indicated having a problem with not being able to enter the UEFI BIOS at bootup time. That said, BIOS version 1015 worked well for me as well. I updated to 1015 before I...
In my administrator account I used the following settings (hopefully I get them all) for 'ASUS AI Suite II Execute':
General Tab:
'Run only when user is logged on' checked (selected)
'Run with highest privileges' checked
'Run whether user is logged on or not' is NOT checked
There also is...
I pulled my hair out with the issue of all the UAC prompts by the Asus AI Suite II programs at logon for my user account. I experimented a lot and I ended up using Task Scheduler in Win 7 for the Asus AI Suite II executable to trigger at the log on of any user and to run with the highest...

I had the same problem of CoreTemp crashing on my XP sp2 system until I read about this "fix" at another website.
Go to options->Settings and uncheck "Enable logging"
This worked for me. The conjecture was that his antivirus program (Kaspersky in my case) was accessing the log...
Hello shiju80:
The CoreTemp and RMClock readings match the Everest readings. My Q6600 is a G0 stepping as well.
The case fans I use are reasonably quiet but move a fair amount of air through the case. I have the cables managed well in order to optimize air circulation.
If you are moving...

As one data point, just yesterday I just set my system up with the minor OC from 2.4 to 3.0 Ghz. I have the same heatsink (lapped) and a 120mm fan (Scythe SFF21F). With a room temp of around 21-22 degrees Celsius, I get cpu core temps that vary from 37 to 44 degrees C when running...
Ahh, I see your point. I have a stock setup and was reporting what I observed. This is a production machine (I'm a photographer) and I don't plan on overclocking it until I build a replacement in the future next year.

I had just checked with CPU-Z (ver. 1.29) prior to seeing your post. Trc on my system is 12. I just put my system together and it is running at "default" values in the BIOS.
Hope this helps.
