I have a similar problem. Non-RAID set up on Asus A8N-SLI Premium. I have 1 250g WD SATAII hard drive. The problem is that Silicon Image software starts every time I boot. It's annoying! But I can't figure out how to stop this. I don't think I even need the SI software (?) Can I uninstall...
Ok, I installed the driver and the yellow question mark is gone. However I also had to install Silicon Image raid software. Now every time I boot up, the software starts. I see no way of making it not start up. Any ideas?

First of all, you should get the A8N SLI PREMIUM board not the Deluxe board...they are basically the same price and the Premimum board fixes the chip set fan probelm on the Deluxe boad (among other improvements). Do a search on this forum on comparisons between these boards.
