It appears to use 3 MBR RAW partitions instead of a single GTP one. Then the controller somehow combines them and presents it as a single drive. Piriform's Recuva wouldn't touch the bare drive. Very unfriendly to any recovery tools.
Pulled the drive out and looked it up on the hgst.com quick warranty check. It shows about 8 months left. However they have a note below saying "While the warranty Quick Check may show this hard drive has a valid warranty, NOT ALL WARRANTIES ARE TRANSFERABLE, therefore this Quick Check is not a...
Nice! Thanks OP! Was thinking the $99 Costco deal was good but this is even better (was going to remove the drives from the enclosure anyhow). Ordered from NE because Amazon would only let me buy 1 (-:
Note from Wikipedia:
802.11n "draft" MIMO router with gigabit switch and non-simultaneous dual-band.

That sounds like it can do 2.4GHz or 5GHz, but not both at the same time.
Newegg's title implies the same thing "2.4/5GHz Selectable"
I picked one up during the blizzard sale and I am pretty pleased with the cherry blacks. My only complaint is the position of the backslash key. I'd have preferring a larger right shift and a smaller enter key to move it back where most other keyboards place it.
My mouse is on the left side so there is no advantage there :-)
The plus configuration of the arrow keys still feels better than the upside down T. Never understood why they didn't use a plus configuration for the second set of arrow keys, there is plenty of room to do it.
Decisions decisions
Interesting, but the lack of a number pad is a bit odd. Don't exactly use it much, but not sure if I want to give that up.
Been wanting a cherry brown keyboard for awhile now. Tempting.
Couple places over at Amazon are selling the 100 lumen version for $34'ish shipped.

see "More Buying Choices" on the right side.
Good price on the Rouge 1 though.
My 6GV2 arrived yesterday. The cherry blacks have a different feel, but I'm getting used to them. Certainly better than the cheap ABS mechanical from a previous deal.
My only complaint is the tiny right shift key. I didn't notice that they moved the backslash next to it and shortened the key...
etrin, have you found a newer flash update tool for this drive? The one that shipped on the CD doesn't appear to be compatible with Win7. From reading comments elsewhere, the only way to update this drive seems to be this tool (because of it's OEM nature or some such nonsense).
Obviously if...
From my tests, it's locked around 3x.

This appears to be the same drive that was on sale before.
It's slower than DVD ripping, but considering the volume of data it's not too bad.
1x isn't defined in "movie speed", it's a data rate. Movies can be encoded at different bit rates so "movie speed" is variable. According to the Blu-ray Disc specification, 1x speed is defined as 36Mbps.
In testing this drive, I've read a 29.7gb disk to my hard drive in 35 minutes (the movie...
Good to know Evadman, thanks for the information. I don't work much on the hardware side anymore, but it's good to know it's foolish to assume you can without testing it.
