Hellgate first impressions?

Before the last multiplayer patch, blue and orange mods were plentiful in Mplayer especially at the crafters, but there was a significant nerf in the amount they show up. Probably a good balance decision, but maybe not as much fun (you do value those orange mods now, instead of having 6 of them...

Heroes of might and magic V has a demo. And it's tremendous, I actually bought the game based on the strength of the demo.

I would not suggest maxtor. The 16 mb cache will not give you any advantage whatsoever. If you look at a company like Glyph, who markets their enclosed firewire hard drives specifically for audio applications (and get a lot of use in pro audio applications) they just use Seagate 7200 rpm drives...

Maybe because they figure if you're buying a 2xx series you're going to buy 2 of them...that would probably be the reason.

Best media for a Nec 3540a?

Not any good reports on that site for our town, and qwest doesn't service pittsburgh at all (That's where we're at) Not sure about local services. This is pretty crappy in this area, especially since comcast pretty much owns the city.

My current roomate and I are moving to separate places. He's gonna be hurtin on cash for awhile, but still wants to get some sort of internet. He doesn't have/want a landline, he just got a decent cell phone service, and wants to cut back on bills (So no dialup, and no expensive cable inet)...

Video Card Search Help

The topic says it all, i need to find a high performance video card with HD/S-video out and a fanless cooling solution. All the ones I've seen have s-video but no hd out. Does this exist? Preferably with 256mb of memory too, :( Edit: Pci-Express also.

What albumleaf said. The Emu 0404 in particular has some great A->D conversion from all accounts. You probably won't get great conversion for less than like 200-400 though If you could go up a little higher get the EMU 1212M that has extremely high quality components for the price (199.99)...
