Yeah, you are right. I borrowed one from best buy and it posted. I'm gonna keep borrowing it for 30 days until my Corsair comes back. I got an RMA #. Yeah, I had to use the 20 pin connector when I tried it in my old pc, I also have a 2.4. The new MB is a 24 pin. Good thing to check...

Yeah, but I actually find all this fun, it's part of the process. I enjoy a challenge. This is the third PC I've built and the only one that has given me real problems. I like picking out all the parts and being able to upgrade later on. Wish I could have upgraded my old PC, but everything was...

I tried lots of stuff, switching ram slots, switching ram, I even removed the whole motherboard and used a screwdriver on the power switch leads to turn it on and I get the same results. I think it's my power supply. I tried it in my old computer and it just turns on for a second then off...

Is my Mobo dead? Is it my CPU? System won't boot.

I'm having a similar problem with a new build and in the process of trying to diagnosis the problem by researching on the net, I came across a few things that you can check. 1) Make sure your power supply is set to the proper voltage. There is probably a switch. You know how the UK uses 220V...

I am going to try it with the motherboard not screwed down to see if it could be a short circuit... but it's late, have to try that tomorrow.

When I power on, my fans spin up, my heatsink fan spins up just for a second, then everything shuts down. Then it turns on for a second, then off for a couple seconds, then on... the process repeats. Never on for more than a second. Pushing the power button on the case won't stop the process...

Corsair 620W PSU $109.99 AMIR ($30) @ ClubIT

Yeah, I got it at ZZF. It came Friday. Really nice power supply. Agree it is heavy. In the box they surround it by the most badass foam I've ever seen. Now if I only had a processor I could try it out. Waiting on a cheap quad core.

8x, sweet. I know some of the coolers will fit because I've seen people fit them in the case I am getting (ultra Bx6) but I guess there will be a lot of heat for that small of a case. I'm just going to try it out and see what temps I get. I really want to be able to take it back and forth...

Should I get a Q6600?

I'm building a new PC. Upgrading from a 2.4c. I have it clocked at 2.9ghz on stock cooler right now, temps peak at 54C. I think I need a quad because I don't want to upgrade for awhile and I encode a lot of video (encode avi/mpeg/etc to ipod and dvd). It takes me a about 2.5 hours to encode...

Big Price Drops Coming from ATI?

When do you all think the 6800gt's will come down in price? I'm hoping that if ATI drops prices, NVIDIA will also drop the prices on their 6800GT's.

print head carriage doesnt move to center on pixma ip3000

Perhaps when you removed the tank, you let air get into the printhead and dry out some residual ink in the printhead thereby clogging it. At any rate, obviously just leave the ink in, and turn the printer on every couple weeks just to let it run a cleaning cycle. Don't unplug it without turning...

When I built my computer, I skimped on the power supply (its the one that came in the case, 450w rated crappy brand), my comp seems to act ok, but every once in awhile I'll get a blue screen. The 3.3v is always low, around 2.8-2.9 volts. My other voltages are pretty solid at 12.1 and 5.1. My...
