Pioneer 111d issues

So, im upgrading from a regular cdrw drive to a dvdrw. The drive is on my second IDE master, and the jumper is set to master. MY computer recognizes the drive and boots up fine. HOwever, when i put in a cd i can hear the drive spin for a split second, then stop It will not read any type of cd...

Hello all, I just installed a Pioneer dvd/cd writer (DVR-710), and used to have an older HP cdrw on my secondary master IDE. After installing the new drive my computer boots up and immediatly initiates "Detecting Array"...after that, nothing happens :( I disconnected the drive, went into bios...

Tv Tuners?

My room is too small for a full sized TV, so i want to get a PCI tv tuner for my computer, only problem is that i've never had any experience with one. My system is a MSI Neo3, athlon 64 2800+, 1 gig corsair, nvidia TI4200 128mb, and onboard sound. Will the onboard sound mess with the tv sound...

Onboard LAN problems

I've used both a wireless PCI card and a usb-NIC adapter, both worked perfectly. I was not aware that some onboard drivers were labeled as NIC drivers, though. don't really feel like buying a PCI card for the person....plus she says that the port worked fine before. Can't think of anything else...

No, i am on the current network cable right now......all i do is unplugged the cable and take it to the other computer...i've reset the modem as well

BTW: i went to the compaq site and download drivers using the computers product key, so this "network driver" should work. However, what strikes as odd is the fact that the driver name says "NIC", however this is onboard.....One more thing, XP recognizes the network controller and installs the...

So, i've got a problem with an onboard network controler. basically, after the driver is installed and the network cable is plugged in it says "network cable is unplugged"...i've tried reinstalling and updating the driver to no avail. any ideas?
