Which is a better line of cases?

ATI Radeon 4870 Crossfire

Is it true that if my monitor doesn't support resolutions above 1680x1050 then there is little point in getting a Crossfire setup? Someone told me that in certain reviews that I would be better off just getting 1 4870 X2 card instead. Your thoughts?

Should I buy Vista?

My pc specs are in sig, and I'm still loving XP Pro but I'm curious if I should go ahead and do the Vista upgrade. I still only have 2 gigs of RAM and I heard that Vista runs optimal with 4 gigs. I mostly game with my PC. So, would you guys recommend me going the Vista route and if so...

I called Gigabyte support and they said my board would work with those PCI Express 2.0 cards however it would downgrade the video card bandwidth to 1.1 because thats what my board mainly supports.

Curious about something. You have the exact same video card that I have, and I have mine overclocked to 620/1000 but yet I can only get 10355 marks on 3dmark06. Not that it's a really big deal but yours is only clocked at 600/1000 yet you beat me by a little bit on the marks. How? :) Oh...

I'll try updating the bios tonight once I find out the version. I started my 3.4ghz Orthos Blend test last night about 11pm EST or so, ran it all night and checked it in the morning before I went to work and core temps were steady at 54c. Left it alone and kept it running, went to work. So...

C2D hangs when CPU temp 60c +

I haven't had my C2D freeze, and I was able to get it up to 3.6ghz at 1.40v it ran fine and the load temps were around 60-61c. Ran Orthos blend test for a while with no problems, then I tried lowering the voltage to 1.35 and Orthos failed about 1 minute into testing. Upped the voltage to 1.38...

It would be definately nice to have a prog that accurately showed both cpu and ddr voltage...accurately. :) Bryan last night I could get my e6750 to 3.6ghz with 1.40v to run orthos blend for about an hour, didn't test it past then. But my temps were in the low 60's with the cooling I have...

Yea my memory is running at 1:1 currently (2 setting in bios). It's at 850mhz overclocked a little bit with 4-4-4-12 timings and 1.98v. I'm not sure which bios it is, how do I find out exactly?

Weird. My speedfan didn't detect it. Which speedfan version are you using? I'm using 4.32. Oh and which orthos test should I do for the 24 hour stability test? small ffts or the blend?

3.4 was stable at 1.30v but I only ran the orthos blend test, not the small ffts which is what I'm running now. I think I'll stick with 3.4. I might go ahead and buy a Ultima-90, lap it and try that to see what kind of temps I get. Probably do that in a week or so. I don't know how to put...

Mine just did the same thing in Orthos. I lowered my cpu voltage from 1.40 to 1.35 running at 3.6ghz, and Orthos did a STOP about 2 minutes into the small ffts test. LOL. Guess it didn't like the voltage change. I bumped it up to 1.368 and testing again. I believe the beeping stopped when...

Well... I went back in bios and set it to 8x450 for a 3.6ghz overclock. I raised cpu voltage from 1.30 to 1.40, left all other voltages alone, and changed ram timings to 5-5-5-15. Here is a screenshot so far after 17 minutes of Orthos blend test...

The Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R motherboard. Extremely happy with the performance of mine. Not sure about double booting. You don't have to adjust any settings first. The ideal thing to do is install XP, and then run prime95 (blend) for about 3-4 hours to ensure stability out of the box at...

I don't know, I didn't want to push it and try 3.6 with just the AC Freezer 7 Pro cooler. I probably could but not sure if I should try it. My idle temps are 32c, and load temps are 55c at 3.4ghz using my voltages. Think I could squeeze 3.6? fatboy: How can I tell what my ambient temp is?
