Yes the cd is clean and scratch free. I even used a different copy. Also i do not have raid setup on my comp. All my drives are non raid.

new build issue

straight from the beginning with just the cpu, board, memory, vid card it still wont boot. Then i did some reading around. My cpu box said that its a 04a and 04b compatibility, but my board says that its a 05a and a 05b compatibility for the cpu i dont know if that matters because ive done...

motherboard and cpu compatibility

Hey pple. I have a problem I keep trying to put in a p4 3.0GB into a MSI pn4 sli motherboard. But the damn thing doesnt want to boot. I i did some digging. Does it matter if the P4 cpu is for 04a and b compatibility boards and the board is for 05a and b motherboards.

new build issue

Im building a P4 3.0 with a gig of ram, 2 dvd drives and a 80g hd with 2 6800 vid cards. I tried using a not so nice 500 watt psu and it would turn off and shut off within 10 secs. then i bought a thermaltake 450 pure power which did the same. then i tried taking everyting out and putting it...

nah the comp isnt overclocked. the psu is brand new. i paid 50 for it. So are you saying that i dont got enough juice??? cause i did a power supply test and it works fine.

My comp keeps crashing while in the middle of playing battlefield 2. i dont have a clue as to why. it doesnt do it while doing any other thing. I want to see what the screen says but 2 seconds after i get the screen, the comp resets. does anyone know whats going on here. thanks

hey i finally figured it out. it was a dust bunny that was stuck on the memory. that i just couldnt see cause it was so small. but besides that. the c1 code was still coming up. So i had to try each hardware piece by piece. and it turns out that one of his dvd drives was broken. that seems weird...

I tried a 400w psu. It didnt help. Im using the soyo diagnostic card so im wondering if anyone came across this code before and a similar problem with their comp. The code im getting is "C1" and the code message is "setting up the DRAM refresh rate, and inspecting the functionality of the DRAM...

i went out and got a diagnostic card to see if i can figure out whats the problem. the card is telling that there is a problem with the memory. As far as i know if its the memory, there would still be video that would show up. I dont know, am i wrong? I mean at least the monitor would turn on
