DVD Wierdness

I had the 4.25s running. That's when I ran into this problem. I suspect one of the Windows updates are what did it, seeing that I wasn't having any problems using the DVD drive until after I ran the updates. The problem is, I don't know WHICH update hosed things. I'm wondering if there are...

DVD Wierdness

OK, here's the story. I just got an EPoX 8KTA and a 900 MHz T-bird. I did a clean install of Win98. I've been using a DVD drive(Pioneer 104) to install stuff. For a while, everything was fine. Then I hit the net for driver upgrades, installed 'em, and all of a sudden I can't install...

ASUS A7M266 DDR SDRAM Socket A

The new motherboards run at 133 MHz FSB. If you've got an unlocked Athlon, you can run a 100MHz CPU at 133 MHz with out a problem. Just change the multiplier and you're good to go.

First KT133A mobo available now....

The 8KTA3 is available at Mwave as well. They don't have any (official) 133 MHz FSB Athlons though.

Fong Kai FK-320ATX Black Problem / Question

It's the case. I've got a 320 as well, and it's a pain to get the side panel on and off. It takes some practice to get it to line up just right with the mounting brackets. Unless you want to go in with pliers and a dremel and modify the mounting brackets, there's not much you can do about it.

What is the main advantage of firewire over SCSI and IDE?

Asian PS2 vs US PS2

Asian PS2 vs US PS2

The primary difference is that the Japanese PS2 has a software based DVD player, and the US PS2 is hardware based. The there is a hacked version of the software player around that makes it region free.

There are two books and a box set out all ready. I've got the core book all ready. It uses the D20 system, just like D&D 3rd edition, the rule are almost exactly the same. It's a pretty good book, IMHO. It has the basic rules for running games during Rise of the Empire, the Rebellion...

Gah. That's what I get for not checking my facts before posting. You are correct, Underclocked. U-235 is the primary fissile uranium isotope. U-236 is actually a neutron absorber. Oops.

Underclocked, U236 is the uranium isotope used in nukes. The reason the US hasn't done anything(aside from raise security) it that no one knows who did it. Stratfor has a pretty good article on the issue.

Reed Solomon is an anti-jam encoding method. I'm guessing that those options are for adjusting the signal if you're working with a noisy line or somesuch.
