4850x2 or 4870 1gb

Given the size, noise, and heat issues in regard to 4850 X2 2GB, what are your thoughts on the GeForce GTX 260 since frame rates on http://www.firingsquad.com/har...50_x2_review/page4.asp seem very close on the bottom of the page? They are about the same price...

4850x2 or 4870 1gb

Please explain as that is GREAT price! Stability wise and temp wise, would a 4870 be a better choice for a mid tower than the 4850x2?

In addition, what is the deal I read on the AMD and ASUS forums about the ATI drivers not working well with Vista or for certain games? Is nVidia a bit slower but more stable?
