Perhaps this has been brough up earlier, but has anyone been having heat issues with there nVidia cards? Ive got an xFx 6800gt PCIe. Although I am quite happy with the performance, i find that the card runs a little hot idle AND under load (58c no oc idle to 85c max oc'd). I contacted xfx...

Doomed: How id Lost Its Crown

Far Cry is mediocre IMO. Storyline is kinda dumb. As for the Doom 3 engine, the point of the game was to create a haunting and tense enviroment and to set a certain mood. I seriously doubt, though, that only 1/100th of the engine goes to action, but i guess you are just exaggerating...I...

Dots on LCD monitor(not dead or hot pixels) Help!

AI can think of is checking the analog connections, it sounds like certain colors are triggering weird things to happen...maybe turn off vidsynch if u can? PS I do not know squat about displays, this is just from common sense. Good luck edit: Speeling

Buying an XBOX 360??

Man I STILL play that game :o With all game systems tho, I would probably wait till you see some good titles pop up before deciding. Unlike with PC's, consoles are defined by the games it can run. Of course, we can just hope that there will be both 360 to PC ports and vice versa :D

Yes, its a wireless connection to your PC, assuming you have the correct adapter. You can exchange info such as contach information and calendars. On a side note, wireless keyboard/mice using bluetooth have almost no input delay, a vast improvement on the standard wi fi wireless...

If you want better cooling, a side fan helps. I vote for a thermaltake tsunami, or maybe a Xaser III Damier.

I'm 99% sure that their value memory (like most other value memory) isnt dual channel. If you want my suggestion, either get 2x512 mb DC dimms with a low latency rating (2=intel, 2.5=amd lowest) or get 1x1gb dimm and upgrade later. I'd honestly suggest 2x512, because upgrading to 2 gigs from 1...

Geforce 7800 GTX AGP Petition

I think that getting the type of bandwith that the 7800 needs to truly shine, with an AGP connection would waste too much time and money for nVidia. Sorry but i think your cries of help and bloody murder will fall on deaf ears. Good luck tho!

Please Help!!

The only issues that I have seen with 6600 GT's was insufficient power supplies, although the temp does seem a lil ward for idle. What kind of PSU do you have? If i remember correctly, the PCIe 6600 GT's do not have molex connectors, so it could also be a PCIe connection issue. Luck.

ASUS a8n SLI-Deluxe BIOS flashing

Well, my PC is running fine with the mobo using bios 1001, and I believe that 1011 is the latest bios rev. to be released. However, I hear that the newer bios' are somewhat unstable. I've also been told that 1008 is a good rev. to settle on for now. Anyone who knows more about ASUS bios' have...

Heat problem with Leadtek 6600GT PCI-E

The memory modules on the 6600 GT all have a pretty good amount of personal space (cuz its a 128mb card) and there are no modules on the back of the card. The air from the fan and your case fans should cool them just fine. None of my friends have had any heat issues with their 6600 GT's

Video Card under $150

Well if your motherboard is SLI capable, I would consider going with a 6600 GT. If not, even though PNY isnt exactly a "name brand" in the field of enthusiate graphics, a $150 price range for a GPU isnt either. The 6800 is really a kick a$$ deal :D

Whether MSI is responsible or not, they will probably be forced to do something about it out of good faith. If consumers feel that MSI mobos will leave them hanging when new hardware comes out, they will stop buying them; I guess MSI will just have to recall and replace mobos...or send out...

800 xl vs. 2x6600GTs

Well, from what I can see from reviews and benchmarks, the 6800 GT PCIe generally ends up on top of the x800xl PCIe, although the nVidia is more expensive. However, thanks to HeroOfPellinor's sharp eye, I've gotten a great deal on a 6800 GT PCIe, which should be on its way right now XD

One more thing...the greatest advantage IMO of the nVidia NV6 series, aside from SLI capability, is the DirectX 9.0c and SM 3.0 support. Does anyone know if this is a hardware issue or a driver issue? Honestly, if I knew that the ATI cards could support both DX (c and SM 3.0 through a driver...

Wow, thanks for all the quik posts...Well, I guess that settles that. But now, which should it be, the Radeon or the nVidia? The radeon is a bit faster, and the cooling (for the ultimate, at least) is much better. I have a hard time, however, not thinking about the sli and SM 3.0 of the 6800...
