are yate loon and nexus the same thing?
cuz i found this really nice fan review and it shows great results for the "nexus D12SL-12" fan.
then on frozencpu i see "yate loon D12SL-12".
same fan?
*edit* nevermind, amazing what the search function can do LOL
those 150W PSU's aren't enough to boot that board. unless you have another old, working computer using a PSU of simlar size, throw em out cuz they're useless for any computer newer than at least 4 years old.
really sounds like your PSU is your culprit. if it was the motherboard or cpu or...
check the video card to see if it has a molex or other type of power supply connection. if so, it must be connected to the power supply (i can't tell from the pix in anandtech's guide that you linked).
what are specs of your power supply?
invest in a power supply tester to rule out any problems with that. if not the psu, prolly is your motherboard. :(
yeah copy just the .exe and the one bios file for xp 32-bit to your floppy. make sure your floppy is in a good state cuz if something goes wrong while flashing, you'll most likely hose your motherboard.
so, just one .exe file and one bios file (.bin?) is all you need. but i would also have...
i should eat you to teach you a lesson. j/k grats on dedicating yourself but 6'0", 170lbs isn't "fat" for a young male by any standards. are you sure your scales are working correctly? i remember when i was 6', 180 and i looked damn good (high school). now i'm... considerably more than that...
the headphones use three jacks, right? line-out, mic and line-in with line-in for the rear channel? try turning up the rear channel in either windows audio control, xfi settings or game settings.
when you install prime95, you get 2 options, one being "no thanks, benchmark only" or something like that. this is the option i choose when i install prime95. maybe you should reinstall and select this option so you don't have to connect any server.
then you'll see option for torture test...
this happened to my dad's computer a coupla weeks ago and it turned out his monitor croaked. test your monitor on another computer or test a second monitor on yours.
did your comp come with a floppy disk with the SATA driver? if not, just make one by pulling the driver off a recovery CD. then boot the comp using the recovery CD (you may have to change the boot order in BIOS to do this). you should then see this message or something similar during the...
for more accurate temp reporting try coretemp. it reports the temp as recorded by the cpu's on-die whatever, not the less accurate mobo measurement.
even tho i took the IHS off, the temps of my 175 were outta control (>65*C) until i installed a tuniq tower last night. after installing, i...
all u who assume i'm a little teen l33ter and take it upon yourselves to insult me can all go fvck yourselves. i'm sure your lives are sooo interesting. this is off topic, and this isn't a question specifically regarding software so go troll somewhere else, a$$holes.
okay, I got my only WoW character up to 60 last night so i'm pretty happy about that but i've never really gotten any input from other WoW rogue vets. since i stay as far away as possible from the official WoW forums, thought i'd post here since so many ppl here seem to play it.
first, a...
omigod, yes!
funny, still no specific examples of this "leadership" we keep hearing about. furthermore, OP removed the poll that conflicted with his/her/its own "opinion". not surprisingly,he/she/it deleted it like it never existed. i use he/she/it cuz if you're still supporting bush at...
1. how long has said widow been widowed?
2. you don't have your own car, do you?
you said everyone is fine with it but did you sit down and ask each of them one-on-one? you never know, one may harbor some hidden resentment towards the idea, which would kill your fun before it even begins...
to run bf2 with high textures and/or quality you really need 2GB RAM. [note: like heffty said, 1.5GB would be enough but i prefer 2x1GB DIMMs as opposed to 3x512MB DIMMs] loading all those textures with only 1GB forces windows to use the pagefile which WILL slow you down. defragging may help...
i guess everybody's heard about these religious jerks who equate IED's with the figurative sword of God.

freedom of speech has once again become a hot topic lately. pretty much every american supports it but...
support a real team. if you have to give coach k credit for something, than give him props for image idyllic image he's somehow crafted with the general public.
but a real fan and anyone with a brain knows he's gotten his hands just as dirty as the next guy. yes, i will let american...
are you my lost long brother or did u steal my CD collection? LOL i love every single one of those albums, esp. animals and superunknown.
i would add:
"exile on main street" and "sticky fingers" by the rolling stones
"houses of the holy" by led zeppelin
"full moon fever" by tom petty and...
thanks, guys! that's exactly what i wanted to hear; EAX2 -> DD5.1 vs. EAX5 -> PLII. i'll stick to creative. x-fi on the way! speakers... not sure what to get yet. right now my opinion, most based on affordability, resembles:
z-5300e (~$130) > z-5500 (~$260) > x-530 (~$58).
thanks...
i was leaning towards DDL b/c that's the only way to get DD5.1 in games. otherwise, in order to get sound from the center speaker while playing, you'll have to use some kind of "bastardized" surround matrix- such as prologicII- either through the soundcard (x-fi) or speakers, correct?
anyone...
do u have a case that orients the motherboard upside-down? in other words, is the CPU closer to the bottom of the case than the top? [edit: nevermind, wavemaster]
(i think i read somewhere that that motherboard wasn't designed to operate upside-down. the coolant in the heatpipes won't work...
i'll soon be getting speakers and a sound card so i would like to hear suggestions regarding the best combo for gaming. nothing too expensive. i'm leaning toward the logitech z-5500 speakers but still don't know the best sound card to get for em.
i'd like to get a DD Live-capable card but i...
i may be wrong but most games send out sound streams in stereo (front left & front right channels) only, not DD5.1. so unless you set your sound card or speakers to create a "bastardized" 5.1 matrix for you (i.e. prologic II), you won't have any sound sent to the center channel.
does your...
where does it say 1GB low-lat > 2GB loose? [edit: okay, average framerate, i see. but with their pretty weak testing methodology, 2FPS has to be within their margin of error]
the graphics quality settings aren't even the same for all four RAM configs so i don't see any valid statements you...
