Not so... You can down clock all retail Conroes if the board manufacturer writes it in his bios... Currently the Gig.DS3 lower multipliers work fine with both the 6600 & 6700 Conroes. So it's very likely the P5B 507 bios will also support it...

MSI 975X Platinum

Looking for some help picking a router

Doesn't sound like a router issue, more like Bandwidth! Any "yamaguchi" router will handle 254 users... The variable is what the users are doing...

Persistent "Limited or no connectivity"..

Disconnect the modem for 30mins or so... Just resetting isn't enough. Most cable modems are set up to assign one ip to a specific mac address.... Once you change NICs the mac has changed so you need to leave the modem unplugged long enough for it to lose that assignment and acquire a one from...

You're best to start testing and see what works for you and what you're trying to accomplish... The timings I suggested are conservative, safe, and should produce a stable/reliable system. If you are more interested in BenchMarking then start tweaking settings and testing with SuperPI, Everest...

Bad assumption, totally different chipset; as well as A64 Tweaker doesn't work well with the RD580 chipsets, additionally alot of the A64 tweaker displayed settings aren't accessible in the A8R32 bios...

The DFI bios doesn?t need to be difficult?.. Although there are a lot of tweaking options, if you load optimized defaults as a starting point and then treat it like any other bios, just set timings and voltage, you?ll have a pretty good idea of how it'll go. DQS Skew Control, Dram Drive...

I wouldn't flash the bios until you have some reason to believe it's necessary. Why raid the Raptors, the performance gain is minimal and disaster recovery is just that, a diaster.....

That's fine, I have on numerous occasions attempted to get an Asus tech to stand behind this statement and haven't got it done yet. I ran a Premium in the V1000 for months with great temps and no problems, so regardless I'm not buying it. I haven't been able to get my hands on a A8N32 yet but...

MSI Neo4 Platinum/SLi "Cell menu"

I've got and Platinum and an F and both work perfectly. Stable, easily runs HTT up to 350 and gets along with any ram I've put in them.... I recently replace a Asus SLI Premium with the Platinum and it was the best move I could have made..... To each his own.

MSI bios v1.a

I've been running it for few hours. Vcore seems to be more stable and I haven't found any issues with it. I'm running the same OC as I was with 1.9 (Opty 170 - 311X9) and haven't tried to take it any higher. I think I'll let it run here for awhile and prove itself before I start playing.......

Why not remove the heatpipe and use a pair of swiftie MCX159's........ Probably be a huge improvement in cooling and ya can flip board anyway you like.......

Thinking About Opteron 165

The Neo4 will run it just fine....... I've been testing a 170 all week with this board and it's Prime stable at 350 X 8 - 1.45....... By the way, screw DFI :)
