That's a bummer. They took it to a PC shop before sending it to me and were told it would be $400 to recover photos so I wonder what the shop was planning on doing?
Got a 16GB card with pictures from a friend that needs some TLC. Tried two readers but neither will access the card, Win7 freezes when trying to access the card and Image Rescue 3 does not recognize it as a memory card. After a while, the menu pops up but the card is inaccessible. Tried using a...
My roommate wants to upgrade but I've told him there really isn't a compelling reason right now unless he wants DX11. He drives three monitors, one at 1920x1080 and two at 1680x1050. Currently he has a Core 2 Quad at 3.0 GHz at 8GB of RAM so those really don't need help. I told him if he isn't...
Yup, tried and was told they no longer accepted the coupons, the restaurant owner was supposed to get the coupons removed, and I couldn't get a refund or exchange of the purchased coupons. This was a small hole in the wall and I haven't tried getting coupons again since then.
I've never had a VPN setup for the desktop. And for normal browsing on the laptop, the VPN is normally disabled as well. Only when I need to get to my work stuff to I enable it. The VPN settings on the router are all set to defaults like they normally are.
Yes, having issues with both. But when I do wireless + VPN I have no issues getting to any of the pages.
I just reconnected the Linksys v3 router with DD-WRT firmware (the one I thought was borked) and it is now working fine with that one.
But the V.5 with standard firmware was still not...
I suspected that but it didn't make sense since I could connect when wired directly to the cable modem. Since the desktop still does not connect to several sites when hooked up through the router.
I have problems with my Linksys router WRT54G V.5. It was fine last week, I came back home and now certain pages do not load. Major ones such as Anandtech and Hotmail.

I ordered from MWave beginning of last month and got a Rev 2. Would have liked a 3.3 for the same price now but ah well! I'll just order another board later if I need to.
Really? It's supposed to be even faster? It has 15,111.99 Total credit, and was started Feb 11. I'll check out the optimized one I guess!
EDIT: Let it run overnight... checked it after work now and holy cow I have a lot more pending credit than I ever did before!
Figured I might as well since I wasn't on any team. And considering my Core 2 Duo has already done 14% of the work in 1 month that my Athlon 3000+ had done over 1 year, I should go ahead and contribute the output somewhere!
The warranty was the main reason I bought my 360 from them. And it did finally die over a year later (two weeks ago). So we were going to buy a TV from them too, I guess we won't bother since the huge draw of lifetime warranty is gone.
I want to switch out my black cartridge for a second color cartridge for photos so I can do 6 color printing, but should I do anything with the cartridge that isn't in the printer, other than keep it out of dust and high temps, ie. the normal stuff? Should I vacu seal it or something?
Good game for $9. I picked it up a while ago for $15. It's short but fun while it lasts. I think it might have been a little longer than King Kong though!
Picked it up yesterday, called one BB and had them check stock across the city, only one store still had them. The one I initially called said they already sent their stock back to the warehouse. They didn't have any of the Gamer Gift cards though. Also got King Kong at Sears for the same price...
I'm just hoping S939 doesn't try up super quick since the manufacturing was stopped the beginning of July from the last news update I read. I would prefer to keep my current system for a little while longer before I go to Conroe.
The 965 chipset has a single vid card slot. Buy it or don't, it's your choice. I regret not getting an SLI board since I am using none of my PCI slots right now (X-Fi drivers scare me) but when I upgrade later, I most likely will get an SLI board. Since the 7900 GT could use a companion probably!
Yeah, I was looking forward to the Hard OCP article. Then I read it... I still don't get why they split the articles either, I guess it makes it easier to make the gamer conclusion that they did, since the encoding and other usage benchmarks were not included. The games forum post has 20 pages...
I'm getting lucky, my roommate wants SLI but we both have a 7800GT... guess what video card he is gettting!
I just ordered the XFX card, I almost ordered the non-overclocked MSI one, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127098 since it comes with King Kong for only $5 more...
I know, I originally hated ICS back in the dial up days, so I figured this might be a pain. But we are trying to do this low budget style. Hmm... but the Motorola SURFboard is on sale for $40 down the street after two mail in rebates and doesn't say anything about activating a new account...
I'm trying to help a friend with sharing the internet through the cable modem. Problem is, they have a USB cable modem. So I figure I should be able to turn on WinXPs internet connection sharing and hook the wireless router up to that system and it should still work fine, right? Obviously, the...
What browser are you using? A friend had a lot of problems with Internet Explorer which all magically went away when I had him use Firefox. Yahoo seems a little flaky sometimes.

Go figure, it's a Epox 9NPA Ultra board. I didn't notice this before since I am always running BOINC, but then I was playing around with the new heatsink and stuff, and I noticed it.
Well, I took the whole case apart so I could make my wiring a little better. It was out of the way but still really visible so I fixed it up as well as possible. So I also unlatched the heatsink again, and really made sure it was in place with extra pressure, and latched it on again. It has been...
It doesn't really move at all... the fan is on full power... I cleaned the old thermal pad material off... I'm at a loss right now. Maybe my heatpipes are empty! :)
I wonder if I installed this thing wrong somehow. I am getting 38-39C idle, and 50C under 100% Prime95 load. Case temp is only about 23C according to the thermal probe. The temps are the same as it was with the stock, no heatpipe AMD heatsink, and it has been burning in for about two days now...
Yeah, is that not 90* to the board normal? I just got this thing, and thought it wasn't really on right. Temps haven't dropped at all compared to the stock cooler, but I haven't finished the 20 hour burn in that they recommend.
