Yakima or Thule rack for my car?

I had a Thule bike rack that I sold when I stopped mtn biking, and now have an Inno rack cuz I was cheap & have factory crossbars on the car, so I just put it on & off when actually heading out to snowboard, so not too concerned on its longevity as its only on the car for a few days at a time...

Some pictures I took at the Joint Services Open House last week

Nice pics! grew up on bases too BoomerD - although they were all SAC bases, so our open houses were definitely geared more towards the B-52 BUFFs, restored B-17s, B-24s, B-29s, I do remember seeing the B-1 for the first time & they had a AC-130 out once...that's one f'n mean machine!

Question for those who fly

and do be smart.....make sure to pack a small bag for carry-on with a few essentials in it as the possibilities for lost baggage increases with changed flights and all (sorry, had a horror story in logan w/ 3 different airlines & bags not showing up for 4 days after)

I'm going Skydiving Tomorrow!!!!

i went last summer, loved it! going to go this summer and hopefully get certified by the end of the summer if my funds hold out! and yes, the tandem sucked - i had a 6'3 250lb guy from alabama who goes by the name 'my excellent compatriot-ass' i don't think it can get any worse:)

Anyone still read books?

freakonomics was pretty good, some different thoughts there, on the guns, germs & steel line 'ithe great nfluenza' by john barry was excellent as far as fiction, i got hooked on david baldacci recently and have been going thru his books enjoying each of them as quick fun reads.

Probs with 1992 GMC 2500 Truck Transmission slipping ***PAGING ALL CAR GURUS***

yea, i was thinking probably not...esp for a 2500, as it would be alot more likely to be something easy to change out, not likely to have the tranny linked w/ the radiator in something that can have like 40 different engine / tranny combos

well if you're looking at the steelcase like the second poster suggested, you're still looking at close to a grand (if i remember what my dad's steelcase cost for his office correctly) and the poster even admits its not comfortable for all day...save urself the trouble, get a aeron and enjoy the...

Virgin Festival in Baltimore August 3 - the high school nostalgia tour?

i've seen the pumpkins 2x in concert and was horribly dissappointed by them each time....loved all their albums, siamese dream was a hs anthem album for me and i wouldn't pay this much for them. perhaps for police or velvet revolver, but neither of them are worth 175 to get in the gate!

Is it hard to get a security clearance?

pretty standard, but good luck on it....lived w/ a couple of engineering masters students previously - 1 had top secret clearance, the other none - the one w/out the clearance had a much harder time getting a job offer and tried to get his clearance, had to jump through a ton of hoops to even...

YACT: Recommend me some BRIGHT headlights

i love my HIDs on my mazda3 - replaced the stocks with 50w versions for some extra light as much of the roads i drive are unlit, and while ty aren't cliffs or hairpins, definitely ahve enough animals on them

First time GPS buyer

the costco deal is dead atm, the only good nuvi deal is at frys - they have the nuvi 360 for 399, or the 350 for 389 - for $10, its worth it for the bt imho i love my nuvi 350, works pretty darn well, great poi interface

YACT: changed my oil for the first time today

there's my reason....3 cars = lots of savings when buying oil & filters on sale! not to mention that when you use synthetic, its like $40+ each change at a local place. i spent less than $16 today at advance auto for each car.

i love my bosch icons....just replaced 'em today, i realize they are a lil expensive, but my last set went almost a year still cleaning perfectly, and i don't have to change them for snow! definitely worth it to me!

perhaps if you explained what you're wanting to do exactly, it would help us tell you how to hook it up? from what its soundling like so far, this is not something that would work for you as you're trying to connect an eq that changes the signals sent to an amp, but you have no amp.....

well the first problem is that you're a UF grad - what self respecting company would want one of those?:) (obligatory comment from an FSU alum) could possibly steer u a bit on medical issues, but can't help too much on cs, good luck on ur search though!
