I second that. My main is a FT02 and its amazing. My second is an Antec Solo which is also nice and quiet.

GTX 670 or second GTX 580?

Thanks all, Maybe I should wait for the 580 to start dogging a bit more. Since I mostly RPG I wasn't sure if SLI was the best way to go.

GTX 670 or second GTX 580?

I have the upgrade bug (it must be a spring thing). Right now I have a Zotac GTX 580 Fermi on a i7 2600k OC@ 4.4 (750w PSU) Seeing as up here in Vancouver the 580’s are going for the same price as the 670’s do you think it would be better to go a single 670 or upgrade to SLI...

heat-sinks that don't require a bottom mounted bracket?

The new Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 sort of fixes that issue with the mounting bracket, you secure the bracket with the push pins then screw the HS into the bracket. I have both the AC 7 and AC 13 on my second and third PC and the 13 was soooooooooo much easier to install.

Positive pressure airflow working!

I always thought my Silverstone FT02 was positive pressure. Wouldn't 3 x 18cm intake and only single 12cm exhaust be positive pressure? I know it keeps pretty much every component 5c to 10c cooler that when they were in my P180 which had more exhaust than intake.

Silverstone Fortress 2 and the TJ07

Silversone FT02 build

I removed the 3 extra HD enclosures on mine and mounted my 2 HDs closest to the left side. It improved the airflow on the left side and more important it seems to have reduced the "baffle" sound of the air hitting all those slits in the empty enclosures.

Dilemma

Cant fit a 9800 GTX in a Antec Solo, plus they are still $200 here. I'm looking at benchmarks and the 4850 and 9800 are not hugely faster than the 8800GT though. $99! is such a cheap price heh

Why? It did not leave a film, if anything it removed all particles off of the CPU. My e6850 idles at 22c and loads at 41c according to TAT

To add a further question to this. What if anything will this do to Northbridge heat? Asus P5b-E's allow 1333 with the latest bios through "overclocking techniques" as they call it. Since the passive NB on these motherboards already run very hot , what will this do to it?

What is the QUIETEST CASE that fits 8800GTX?

When I upgraded my system to a C2D 6400 and ATI x1950xt the only thing I kept was my SONATA II. I found after 15 or 20 minutes of gaming the back of PSU would get pretty hot to the touch. It just seemed the 2 x 8cm fans running at such a low rpm in an enclosed box were not putting out enough...

Looking for quiet but effective at cooling 120mm fans...

Cost me $20 Canadian each, well worth it for a super quiet case. Combine it with a Zalman 7000 on low and the 450w Smartpower in the Sonata II and you have to poke your computer to see if its still on :).

2.8 to 3.2, worth upgrade?

Not sure its worth the extra 5 or 6 FPS to have to crank my Zalman 7000 up from 1300 rpm to 2600 rpm, thing gets really winy at max RPM's. Not to mention I would need to turn my 120mm fans up from low to high..yuck. P.S. Quiet is good!
