A8N32 Build Hell!!!

A few things I made sure to do when I built 2 systems (XP Pro SP2 and MCE2005) with this mainboard. Enable the Parallel port in BIOS whether you need it or not. Do not use nVidia's IDE drivers. Keep what MS installs. Leave the Primary IDE connector open and use the Secondary IDE connector...

New Seagate 7200.9 series Hard drive gets practically unbearable to touch...

I use 4 of these Seagate 7200.9 HDDs. 2 in each of 2 systems. 2 Antec P180 cases. Temps are 31 to 36C (stressed). Case cooling seems to do the job. Happy trailz,

A8N32 too hot

Not knowing your fan arrangement. I'd suggest increasing the speed of your intake fan and see if that improves the heat issue enough. On this motherboard, a Zalman 9500 draws warmed case air (especially from the RAM sticks) through it own heatpipe/radiator arrangement as it cools the CPU and...

See sig. My mainboard temp is always ~43-44C. I don't use CoolNQuiet/Q-fan. My case has 3 120mm case fans. The Zalman blows air across the heatpipe radiator then out through the upper rear case fan. I don't O/C. My video card blows its heat out of the case. My HDDs and PSU are isolated...

x1800xt vs x1900xt

Is bluetooth as lame as this Logitech set has convinced me it is?

The ATI X1x00XTx 512MB cards push their heat out of the case. The high end GeForce cards either dump their heat into the case or only partially out. That was a major reason for me to stay with ATI this time around.
