The 133MHz FSB setting is correct. DDR memory only operates at 133MHz but is double pumped meaning that twice the data is sent for each of those 133 million cycles per second. So 2 X 133MHz = 266MHz.

An AMD board with an extra 12V connector?

My understanding is that the little 4 pin 12 V connectors on AMD boards are specifically for AGP pro cards. My MSI K7 Master also has one. So I don't think you want to be sticking the P4 power supply connector into it, unless of course you're in a daring state of mind.

By the way, one thing I did notice in Tom's Hardware Guide Review he used 2 X 128 MB CL 2.0 Micron and 1 X 256 MB CL 2.0 Micron. I am using their CL 2.5 stuff. I wonder if that would make some difference and the fact that he never tested more than 256 MB of memory at a time.

SOLVED ---- Pentium Pro Overdrive help please!!!!!

Just run cat /proc/cpuinfo from the command line. That should tell you stepping, speed, model, cache size and so on. It's funny, I just had a friend ask me about a Pentium Pro overdrive CPU so he could play the latest Myst game. Anyway, good luck to ya.

Windows2000... upgrade or full install?

Personally, I always do full, clean installs and back up my files to a second hard drive. Everything, not just IE seems to run smoother and quicker. It cleans all the useless crap out of your registry left over from deleted programs and old driver versions and generally makes everything smell...
