New comp has one major issue still (Fixed)

New comp has one major issue still (Fixed)

Ditto for Toastman. I have a DFI lanparty and had the same problem, switched to Marvel - problem gone. The funny thing is, I installed WinXP Pro SP2 clean, and then the drivers etc. (two times, trying to see what was going on). The funny thing is that I think it was WinUpdate that created...

Stupid question, but what file system are you trying to format the drives with? That partition size limitation smells of FAT32

Oh definitely the port or the driver. I'm just thinking it could be some kind of a conflict that arises only with updated IE app...That's what I meant...Or even a lower level than IE, I suppose updates go deeper (is there a layer between driver and app?)

Flashed Bios, now computer won't boot

Yeah, DFI has autility that will image a bootable floppy or a cd. Go to their support page and BIOS download from their. Read comments to get the right thing

I will try it when I get home; however I doubt it is the driver version. Again, since it was working initially. I do not know nearly enough to be able to tell what it could be. In the end, the DL thread is still IE, which does get patched through Win Update (in fact, most of the patches...

Internet Problem

Tx for the quick response. Lol re: firefox. Would that I could. It still can't do all of the IE tricks and I need most of them for work (50/50 work/pleasure on the system) I would ditto SpySweeper, only it helped me out a couple of times in the past, so I'm keeping it for that sake...

I can't even get my X2 to post - How can I flash BIOS!?

According to an Anandtech article you may be out of luck (if that's indeed a bios issue) Look in the mobo section for the issue at hand and possible remedies. It would help if you had an older core (i'm assuming it's 939, so probably not...) They say in the article Abit could send you an...

Video card heat

Curious topic. I was wondering also. Running 7800GTX - I know it's new, and not enough data yet. It gets to around 70 under load. Should I be freaking out (everything's stock, no OC) Anybody know the upper temp for the card?
