Great thread. I've always thought Raid was for backup. It makes perfect sense in theory but and upon a quick explanation it is no wonder so many are fooled.
So: for those of use that are looking into RAID as 'backup' what is the answer? (when 1tb drives are so cheap) I'm in the process...
If you are only looking for one channel then why not make an antenna for that frequency.
234/frequ = length in inches. for 1/4 wave. For 1/2 wave 468/frequ = length in inches.

I'm starting to wonder if AVG is as good as it used to be. Two years ago everyone was saying nod32 or avg and avg was free (I think there was a free v. of nod32 then) now I see no one standing up for AVG. Looks like AntiVir is going on all my computers.

Glad I came upon this thread. I'm in the same boat as the thread starter. Using an old AMD cpu and was looking around for suggestions for a MB. Don't want to hijack the thread. I need to do some reading about some of the stuff here. Just wanted to say thanks to all the contributors.
Both were on bad boards. I want to build a server and re-use one of the cpu's. The server will be upgraded later but for right now a new board and some ram is all I need if I re-use the cpu.
Out of these two cpu's which would be better?
Intel celeron 2.0 128/400/1.525v or Athlon 64...
