Unfortunately, I don't have the option of tagged queuing disabling, but it seems I have fixed the problem :D
I really have no idea how or why, but I'm just glad the problem is gone.
I suppose it had to do with some fix I did earlier that just worked now after a restart or something. Thanks...
I actually use Mozilla Firefox whenever I can for everything that it allows me to (exceptions being Windows Update and some sites).
MS Anti-spyware is installed and detects nothing.
Can't get internet in safe mode with networking, don't know what that issue is. I've done it on other computers before fine. The anti-virus thing is probably going to be a near last resort thing, because I have to find my Norton box/key/CD.
Ran Prime95 for two hours, temps were fine. Mobo...
I'll give the safe mode solution a shot tomorrow, going to sleep now.
As of now I've just been downloading things onto my laptop and sending them to my PC via AIM, they work fine. Games install fine from CDs as well.
EDIT: Unless you were talking to AsianriceX, but I'll give the safe mode...
Just like to note that I also switched off my ZoneAlarm firewall and am now working with the router firewall and Norton. No problems yet.
I've done everything you've mentioned, and still no dice. I'm starting to think this is a Windows problem, as when I tested these solutions by downloading...
I have switched the RAM around, I really don't think the RAM is the issue. I've run memtest @ 5 passes.
EDIT: Of course I'm willing to open the case, I built this computer anyway :P
I'm just hoping to find somebody's who's had this problem before and their fix.
A lot of the very high quality screens you see (The infamous Ferrari screenshot that was one of the first screens released) are rendered screenshots and can't really tell you about the system's performance. For example, nearly any PC can render a high quality picture, but there's not really any...
When I first started up the RAM was running at 2.5v at 2.5-3-3-7 and I was still having this issue. RAM is in 1/2 DC. This is really the only RAM I have without taking another machine apart, which I don't want to do because I have enough trouble with that one as is. I'll give memtest another...
nVidia Firewall is disabled, I am using ZoneAlert Pro.
nVidia network controller is definitely sending a ton of packets when I download. Total while downloading a file is 35,000 and rising and 120 received at the moment
First issue was just fixed using Creative Diagnostics...of all things.
I suppose it was just the kX driver that was messing it up.
EDIT: To clarify some more, the errors I get on RAR files are corrupt data errors.
How long have you been running the unit this hot? If it's only very recent, it shouldn't be too terrible, but you definitely need to either cool it down or stop using it until you find a solution.
Well, I like the DVD burner, and from personal experiences with a BenQ monitor, I don't know if I trust them completely to be honest.
As for the PSU, the Enermax and OCZ both barely exceed my budget, so how's this look:
