Thanks for the suggestion. I gave it a try but the system doesn't boot with the jumper on pins 2 & 3. It will boot with the jumper on pins 1 & 2 after the cmos is cleared again.

Yes, it is exactly the same problem. I must clear the cmos via the jumper on the mobo each time for the system to boot. (Putting the jumper back in the correct position each time.) Apparently the board is made by Jetway. hhhmmm.... montag451 re-reading your post raises a question. What do...

Where can you purchase I/O replacement plates for motherboards?

I recently bought a refurbished 8RDA from newegg and it shipped without an I/O plate. I e-mailed EPoX, explained my situation and asked if I could buy a replacement plate directly from them. They sent me one for free the next day.

What's the best/quickest way to take the A+ test? Any recommendations for online sites or test centers? And, does anyone have recommendations re: studying for the MCSE Certificate? (I searched online and found all the schools, boot camps, fly-by-nights, etc., but didn't find exactly what I want.)

How long does it take for a virus scan to complete on your pc?

12 hours? Something's not right. I use NAV 2003 and it takes me 22 minutes to do a complete scan of 2 hard drives (100GB & 80GB WD SE's) that are approximately 55% full.

A quick question

You should be able to find the wires you're looking for at any good auto parts store. I don't know the exact gauge but just bring along a sample and eyeball it.

What Hard Drive brand have you had to RMA the most please ?

Some years ago I was RMA'ing Champion hard drives everytime I turned around. I quickly learned not to build systems with those. In more recent times, I've RMA'd a couple of Seagate drives. At present, in terms of reliability, I prefer Western Digital and Maxtor.
