    Voltage can allow your chip to run stable a higher speed than would be possible at def. voltage - at the expense of thermals lol. If you end up hitting a high bus speed you may have to lower the HTT multiplier, much like you would to overclock your ram without pushing the CPU beyond it's limit...

    OCZ Gold BH5 is about the best deal for performance memory. $200 CAD (about 160US) for a gig of 2-2-2-5 DDR400 that overclocks like a mofo and loves voltage. Or Redline for the same price... Just don't buy Corsair. Their performance memory is overpriced to the Max.

    You have a bloody FX-55, lol. Get Redline or VX, go nuts, then realize that you have an unlocked multiplier so it scarcely matters.. Performance ram is a waste imho. Money better spent on video or a nice display, but that's just me.

    I would take Redline myself, but that's more of a personal thing - and it DID beat VX in anand's roundup, though only by the skin on it's teeth. Either way you've got some great memory :)

    Agreed, PC3200 with good timings would be best. Instead of Crucial, I recommend OCZ EL Gold (it's BH5, $160 american ish before tax for a gig). Anand got it to 255FSB and it has 2-2-2-5 timings so it's a good buy.

    Wait a bit and pick up a pair of dual core opterons :) If you want it all and want it now, the X2 4800+ is most definitely the best. Pair it with 2gb of high performance ram and a pair of 7800GTXs and you're flying :)
