COMP USA going out of business.

It was a liquidation company, I assume they actually liquidated the COMPUSA inventory pretty quickly, but then started rotating in other stuff they must keep in a warehouse for these occasions. I never saw anything I wanted after the first week or two.

Never had a 1000 but my point is if there was a problem with it working seamlessly with all the components, I would think this would be an issue for any of them as the setup/software/component database is the same. I can't talk to the UI as I haven't used the 1000.

I think the software and setup are the same for the 550, 880, 1000 etc. I love mine, XBOX360, 550, 880, 676. Great for folks who get confused over the multiple components.

Well I installed the card and seems okay. Only problem I have to figure out is videos are really dark, when I bring up the Nvidia control panel, and then move my mouse pointer over any of the three choices, 3D, Display, video and TV, the picture brightens up, just by moving the mouse over it...

Buy.com drops Google Checkout??

I think it depends how you get in, clicking on a hot spot, etc. and what's been saved under your browser. I had to clear my cache, cookies and forms before I saw the google checkout option as I still wasn't seeing it when coming directly in. Not sure which worked but it is still available.
