Silverstone TJ04 and Gigabyte 965P-DS3

I am about to get the case and the mb. My concern is that the DS3 mb only has 2 fan connectors, one for the cpu and one for the case. The TJ04 has two case fans, front and back. Is this an issue I should be worried about?

As for the mobo, I think Anandtech or Tom's hardware recommends the MSI, and it's fairly cheap at 185dollars at my local retailer.

Upgrading from 9800 Pro to 6800 GS

The resolution is 1280x1024 on the LG that I have. I do plan on buying a widescreen lcd, perhaps the Dell 2005fpw that should have a native res of 1680x1050.

AMD 3000+ being discontinued. Is it still a good buy?

In all likelihood he will OC it. By how much, I do not know. But for sure I know he's not going to get any watercooling since he's on a budget. So I don't know how much you can OC with just air cooling.

Yeah I just submitted my warranty claim and requesting a RMA. But in all likelihood ATI will tell me to screw myself. And the powersupply is fine, I actually just replaced it with a more powerful one.

Best Nvidia AGP value?

An X800 XT is the equivalent of the 6800 ultra???? Are you serious??? The 6800 ultra is still ridiculously expensive. At some places it costs more than a 7800GT. My Radeon 9800 Pro just died on me and I need a new card, so if what you say is true, I'm definitely considering the X800 XT

The M2 Socket eh? When that comes out, the price will surely be at a premium though it might not be that much better than socket 939. But for sure everyone will wait to see what DDR2 can really do for AMD.

From what I know, AMD only supports up to DDR400 ram. I guess you could stick in DDR500 but I think it just lowers the speed to 400.

Should I sell my A64 4000+ and replace it with a A64 3800+ x2?

You said it yourself. You're a heavy multi-tasker. X2 3800 will definitely do better than a 4000 in that regard. If you're worried about gaming performance, the 3800 should not lose out to the 4000 if you OC it.
