Motherboard or Hard Drive issue?

Hey, unfortunately that didn't fix my problem. I turned my computer off instead of restarting and it did the same thing. It would show the "loading windows" screen but freeze before it begins loading. I ran the Samsung HD utility and it found an error. So i'm afraid this drive may be dying soon...

I tried changing the cable and so far it seems to have fixed the problem. Would anyone know why that would have fixed it? The other wire looks to be in good enough shape to work. The black plug was only slightly warped or bent.

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my Gigabyte Z68x-UD4-B3 motherboard or Samsung HD. I've been having trouble booting into Windows 7 at times. What I mean is, whenever my BIOS splash screen pauses for a minute Windows 7 will not boot. However, whenever the BIOS doesn't hang it boots...

PSU or Videocard problem.....

No unfortunately it's not. My brother and I switched graphics cards when he was programming with CUDA when he was in school. I now have his Gigabyte Radeon 4870 1GB.

Spybot Search & Destroy 1.5.1 available

Just a heads up. If you have Trend Micro PC-Cillen don't use the "Immunize" feature in Spybot S&D. It will cause your PcScnSrv.exe to utilize 100% of your CPU power (50% with dual core) at startup for like 5 minutes, and at other random times.

Try Super anti-spyware..... http://www.superantispyware.com/ then try Spybot S&D, and adaware SE, and then try to run a virus scan. If it is a tough cookie to break try booting into safe mode and running those programs.

You can also try Ubuntu Christian Edition. I heard that has a built in Internet filter. Plus you wouldn't have to worry about viruses.

the best filter i know of is Bsafe...........but that costs $50. http://secure2.bsafeonline.com...cts/SmallBusiness.aspx I was reading somewhere and i came across a server (some college server) that has a proxy with a net filter that you can connect through. It was free and all but i forgot...

Boot into linux via live cd or whatever. From there you should be able to format the drive.

vista screensaver virus?

Don't trust any "free" screensavers these days. Try uninstall that program. Run Spybot S&D, then run adaware SE. Then if you have an antivirus run a spyware scanner with that, and a virus scanner. If issues persist download HijackThis run and look for any weird .exe files that are running...

Yea it has done it to me before. Ignore it. When i go to avast.com Trend Micro says it's a dangerous site. Just ignore it.

I believe we can simply find that answer in Gods word, the Bible. It was stated above that our whole universe is under a rule of physics/laws. One thing can only act or react according to its prerequisites set forth in a beginning. I believe everything happens for a reason, and nothing happens...

Suggestions to acheive 3.2 OC on a E6600

I have that exact same same motherboard and I'm at 3.4Ghz stable. I have an Arctic Freezer Pro 7 and it works wonders. I'm doing this all with this memory :P............ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145015 I'm not kidding either...

Is there a free virus scan for Vista?

I have Trend Micro PC-Cillen and it is by far the best antivirus I have ever used. I would look into getting that if I were you.

I was looking around at newegg this morning and i saw that the memory I had purchased just 5 months ago is down to $140 from $240. I'm thinking about upgrading to Vista 64bit. (By they way I have a Core 2 Duo E6600, 2GB Corsair XMS, 8800GTS, Asus P5B Deluxe.) I was wondering If 4GB of memory...

Which Would You Pick with E6600 for High FSB?

I have heard of people getting over 500Mhz FSB with the P5B Deluxe.......... It's not so easy to reach that with the 975 chipset.

Asus P5B Deluxe. I had my E6600 at 3.6Ghz stable and my FSB to 400 with mem ratio 1:1. With Corsair XMS DDR2 675.

Asus P5B Deluxe! Mine is rock stable and even overclocked to 3.4Ghz ( I had it up to 3.6Ghz stable too). I have Corsiar XMS2 667 memory.

P5B Deluxe, Bad Axe 2, or Other?

I love my P5B Deluxe, got my E6600 at 3Ghz, and all the way up to 3.4Ghz stable. I can hit 3.6Ghz but I didn't leave it on enough to test stability.

430W Enermax PSU sufficient for upgrade?

I have the OCZ 600 Gamerxtreme, I highly recommend it. It has allowed me to overclock my E6600 to 3.4Ghz and my GTS to 627/2000Mhz.
