Ok, i dont have my rig overclocked at all. just unlocked the extra 2 cores. with cool n quiet enabled, hwmonitor says 57.40 watts at idle but with load it shoots up to 170 watts. thats with cpu voltage at 1.36V. no stock HS! I have a cooler master hyper 212 plus on my cpu
Thats good to know! thanks for the info. my temps right now with the hyper 212 on the chip is like 38c idle and gets around 50c with load. my comp sits under my desk and it is pretty warm in my room as im typeing this.
The friend is me : ) thanks for the replys. i have my vcore set at 1.36V and have all cores unlocked (tested with prime95 for over 5 hours with no errors). just worried that my wattage went from 85 watts dual core to 170 watts quad core when unlocked.
i got the same MB and CPU as you ... minus the PSU and probaly the ram but i have no problems with mine with unlocking...... im thinking your problem is your psu. i have a 600 watt ocz psu. 400 is kinda on the low side. and yes, i know im posting on a thread thats over a month old lol
i just had to replace my PSU because of it doing crazy stuff to my comp. had to RMA some ram because memteset said it was bad (was not the case). all in all it was my psu. all of a sudden it just died! wont even turn on. out with old antec basiq and in with new ocz 600 watter... all problems solved

ok, i have 512 (2 x 256) megs of OCZ ddr pc400 platinum in dual channle and im getting a gig of OCZ (2 x 512) megs of DDR PC400 platinum revision 2 ram! can i run the 2 x 256 megs of the older ram with the newer 2 x 512 of ram? will it hurt my system? they have diffrent timeings

if i remember right pppoe requires you to have a login name and password each time you connect to the net via software that you have to load up or if you have windows xp (i think you do) you can use it's built in pppoe sign in. (windows built in pppoe sign in beats out any software that comes...
yea.. wow.... 88c! <----bad! well, i bet you thats the problem! just take it off, clean it real good and reapply some thermal paste and reattach the HS/F and you should be on your way!!!!

Hi Kic, sounds like a video card or PSU issue! make sure yuo have enough amps on your 12 volt rails for the PSU. have you took everything out and try to bench test the system with only mobo, one stick of ram and vid card only out of the case? your problem sounds just like what i was haveing when...
