Most probably the ram - had to replace a 400MHz ram on one of my friends system - BSOD when OC - ram @ 386 then!!! So try to go as close to 400 as possible or down to 333! And dont forget to run 2xPrime95 - copied in 2 different directories
Acctually there is great THEAD on overclocking (X2...
I wouldnt sy that Zalman 9500 is heavy - 530g and do not forget that the fan is allready included! The Ninja is heavier + cound the fan (cca 120g) + its taller so puts a bit mare pressure onto the board. I have currently a Primecooler HC4 which is actually a Zalman 7700Cu - it has !900g! but as...
Hi there,
a friend of mine recently bought this chip for 240$ but doesnt have the board to run it on yet so i am wondering - anyone tried to OC that one? How much do these do. If they do like 2.6 on 1.48V he can still be lucky as the 144 is supposed to be selling only as CABGE here (Europe -...
Oh boy u guys have problems - here one can be glad that the Optys are on stock - we have to pay round 280$ for a 146 no matter what the steppings are - u bought a 146? Here u go! (U know - Europe!)

My friend bought an 144 CABNE 0540 APMW for 240$: now thats a price!
Stick to Typhoon! I heard that not only the pump but also the CPU block is crappy... though my friend has one on his XP3200 @ defaults doing 45C load. Before that he had som TT heatsink + heatpipes and a good TT fan and got 60C load, so its not htat bad but i'd still to Typhoon.
Silverstone has a cable set to solve that problem - prices round 15-20$ but i don't where to get it!
If u want to check the cable length of all kinds od PSUs check the tomshardware.com and serach for PSU or Spire....
+2c avrg is not what i would call less effective - depends on what u want to cool + what fan u'r using with the Ninja (this is a great + for the Ninja)
U might be right on the PSU...why didn't i buy a stronger PSU then??? Ahhh yet short of $$$ - but the 480W should be enough even for a 2xGTX 512MB in Sli: 420W max! But i would be glad even with one of those
Merry Xmas to u 2...
1. As far as i heard/noticed - get the Enermax Liberty 500/620W or the Seasonic 12 - 600W... id atehr go for the Enermax. I also read good reviews on the Akasa 550/650W PSUs or Tagan 530/580W.
2. the 380W PSU should be enough the system will eat max 300W! Id get a 450W PSU though (at least) -...
Hmmm thats interesting - didnt have the problem removing my heatsink - did that 3 times
+ the computer was off for an 1 hour when i removed it the last time...

But i had similar problems with my 478 Pentium....

Thanx for advice though nealth - next ill make sure to run prime....
1. Freaking nice setup - i like the 500GB Seagates the most :D and the CPU too, though i'd rather go for an Opty175/180
2. I would recomment to get those fans replaced by something less disturbing.... the Akasa is a good choice - quite powerfull and very silent
3. Why are u buing a 620W...
Forgot top mention - Zalman didnt arrive so will have to wait a week more, but i installed the Akasa fan and its great.... cant hear it really. (Now i just have to get rid of the small crapy motherboard "cooler"... - Zalman NV1 is nothing for me as im planning to buy an AC for my nex VGA card...
If you mean my GPU - max. 63C what i have seen (used RivaTuner to monitor temps) - but its going down with time - now its @ 61,5C which is great as a 850XT has round 79C when fully loaded. Unfortunately im not sure about the rams - now their cooled by the Primecooler but dont know if setting up...
Yeah, recieved that my self too - but i think it wont help much with the metal coming out - what acctaully bothers me the most. Ill have to reply to what Antec sent me to get a replacement door too i fear.
Oh yeah just forgot to mention - a friend of mine has a TT Viking + TT BigWater SE and itjust fits in though he would fit a bigger WC as well. Or just buy a good mid case and the Zalman Reservator or something external but fanless/quiet!
Dont forget TT - Kandalf and Armor for instance - just have a look @ http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/default.php?cPath=27_780 where they sell whole case with WC allready installed :)
Same problem here - it just bends in the middle + the metal part is popping out right next to the lock... i hope i can order a new door soon and that they ship it to SLOVAKIA/Europe too :( lets see
that slim think could fit even with a high VGA card (like my 6600GT i had or the 800GTO FB) - but as ive listed in some forums it only does like -2/3C! But it might help too cool the rams on the VGA card if you are using some ram sinks (on VF700 or TR V1)
I have the case and am running a TT SmartCase fan in the top - middle RPM + Primecooler 12cm 74CFM @ 24dB in the back (both exhaust fans) + one of the Antec fans in front of my HDDs. I also removed the VGA crap as is it really useless. Tommorow i will replace my Primecooler HC4+ (Zalman 7700Cu)...
I used Ati Tool v0.25 Beta 11 for my X800GTO and it worked swell... unfortunatelly it only scales frequencies of Ati cards as allready fbrdphreak mentioned. BUt u could still try to find someone who allready tried to OC the card - set the same frequencies and test it using Ati Tool - then play a...
