    I have an Opteron 165 and never had problems playing BF2 on it, by letting the CPU affinity as default or by setting it to one specific core.

    Yay to store all user data in the same root directory, seperated from the programs and os binaries. Nay to the 'My ...' naming scheme. I rename 'My Documents' to 'Document' on my computer. I don't stand the 'My...' culture.

    Most Excellent! They designed the very best controller design with the PlayStation?, they improved it with the DualShock, then added "weight detection" with the PS2, and now the PS3 add motion detection while keeping the best design. This is simply the best! Hail Sony!

    The Opteron is also built with higher quality materials since it is geared for the server market. Sure you can overclock the 3800 to 2.4 as well, but you will never get twice the L2 cache, and I am not ready to say that it only makes a small difference.

    Instead of the 3800+ get an Opteron 165. For about the same price you get 3 HyperTransport lane instead of one, twice more L2 Cache and you can overclock it to 2.4Ghz without a sweat.
