    Well the 7800GT has double the pipelines of a 6800GS and outperforms a 6800 ultra by a good margin. The 6800GS runs barely under a 6800GT. It would still be good to get the 7800GT, IMO , I myself am getting one for an upgrade from an X800XT, which I am selling.

    When I buy my new rig I am going with the dual 7800gt's with evga since i can get 2 7800gt's with an sli motherboard for 680$ which is extremely good IMO, but since you already have a sli mobo, I dont know. I agree with most people, the dual 7800gt is faster and costs less.

    The x800gt is an 8 pipelined card. The 7800gt is a 20 pipelined card with a somewhat new architecture over the nvidia 6 series. The difference is phenominal in my opinion. Think of going from a 9800xt or pro to an x850xtpe or better. difference is pretty big.
