    I agree with your intentions, JPB. I have done that with my E7200. For 3.8GHz, it takes quite a lot of volts to get stable so I settled for 3.7GHz. It wasn't worth the extra heat/stress for that 100mhz more.

    I'm running a Corsair HX620 with no issues. I do believe though, I'm reaching the limit of it with my current hardware and I have a Velociraptor waiting to be installed. Probably will get a Corsair TX750 really soon.

    during OCCT it hits 67c, which from what i've seen is normal. ambients are 22-25c. i've already concluded that my chip's temp sensors are borked for reading idle temps.

    he's talking about superpi times. pretty much if you a lot of benching and care about every point, bios 12 is faster. if you don't give a crap about that and want stable bios without the double boot issue, bios 14 is for you.

    RAID and firewire are the only differences. they both share the same board layout and bios so if you need RAID and/or firewire, get the IP35. if not, IP35-E. the only thing i would've liked is esata but i can always purchase a stand alone pci-e card for that.
