Monitor Blinking On and Off

Y'know, that's a really good point. I should note that a picture does appear onscreen for milliseconds at a time when the monitor is blinking on and off, so video card/video cable failure seems unlikely. I guess I'll just try to replace the monitor.

It's a Viewsonic VX724 LCD Display, 17" gaming monitor. It's connected to a pretty high-powered SLI computer built by Cyberpower with a 535W PS. The computer and monitor are both one year old, and neither has had any significant problems during that time.

So is it doubtful that the power supply is the problem? I didn't build this system myself (I am a newbie). What exactly should I be looking for with the power connectors? Also, is the voltage stabilizer a possible source of the problem?

If the computer boots from a nonexistant network...

The MB is a Gigabyte K8NXP SLI I believe (code may be wrong). I don't know exactly what the BIOS is. In the manual it gives information on AMI and AWARD BIOSes, but a chip in the MB is labeled "Pheonix BIOS". The network card is an onboard one.
