So the replacement adapter arrived and I had some time to do some more testing last night. Started fresh and had Windows delete all existing drivers and then installed the latest ones from Realtek's website.
The 40-45 MB/s speed problem went away and instead I started getting 8-12 MB/s when...
Yes, tested on three different computers. Ports labels USB 3.0/3.1 gen 1 and USB 3.2 gen 2. Same result every time.
Network is not the bottleneck as I can do 1 GB/s on 10GbE to the file server.
IF your device can record stereo sound, you could use a Y splitter cable so you can put one mic on the left channel and the other mic on the right channel.
Then in post you can separate the stereo sound track into two separate monaural channels.
What you want are ELV Dimmers. (Link to Amazon search page)
I have this Lutron Maestro Electronic Low Voltage Dimmer for the LED flood lights above my desk and it is by far and away, the quietest dimmer I have used. Depending on the LED bulbs used, the buzzing is either very quiet or non...
DeWalt's 20v MAX malarkey has always made shy away from their tools. The 20v number is a sham and it makes calculating Wh capacity harder than it needs to be.
Traditionally battery voltage has always been advertised at the cell's nominal voltage. A good example of this would be NiMH...
Why would you want a front wheel drive mower? As your bag fills up it will counter balance more and more weight off the front wheels and reduce your traction to almost nothing.
I started shopping for impact tools last December because I was looking to save time when swapping snow tires on and off of my family's vehicles. After watching some videos on YouTube I realized I had been missing out.
Over Christmas I picked up a Milwaukee 1/2in Impact Driver, (Model#...
Also the OP has apparently never driven in conditions when the roads are wet slush and experienced the dirty muck that you and everyone else kicks up.
Using wiper washers are necessary for survival during certain months of the year.
After watching most of the video, and looking at the AMCI website, it seems clear to me that this is a shill video that was made to be shown to Toyota salesmen so they can say, "AMCI tested the RAV4 and it was the best in it's class on snow and ice.."
Well since this thread has been resurrected, I would have to say my Dad's 2001 Honda Civic Ex
He bought it with ~13,000 miles on it in 2003 it was still running strong in 2014 with ~369,000 miles on the clock. Then it got hit in the left rear quarter and was totaled. RIP
I would just run your 2004 Wheels on your 2012 without TPMS. Why? Because in my experience your car will only work with one set of four TPMS sensors at a time.
Our dealer wants $80 to program new TMPS sensors on my Mom's 2014 Corolla. No way in hell we going to pay to have that done twice a...
As nice as all this fluff reads, I hate to break it to you...it's just that meaningless fluff.
The fact that the body panels are SMC is meaningless. Are these body panels in mass production? Where is the proof (press release from McLaren) that they designed an engine for this concept...
My Mom's 2014 Corolla has rattles in both A pillars at certain speeds.
My 11 year old Honda Civic Hybrid and my 9 year old Honda Insight have fewer rattles than her car.
Motorcycles typically have poor fuel economy is because the aerodynamics are terrible. I suppose also many/most motorcycle engines are also not built/tuned to be as fuel efficient as possible either.
Every since the acquisition, the Ads on anandtech.com have gotten significantly more intrusive. It's gotten bad enough sometimes that I have been forced to re-enable Adblock so I can read the actual content on the website.
I want to give AnandTech the ad revenue, but there is a limit to what...
On my Yoga 12: driver issues + frustrated by the other stuff.
On my desktop, just frustrated by all the regressions compared to Windows 8.1. For example, most of the help prompts I clicked on in Windows 10 would open up a browser windows with a Bing search of "How to search for help in...
I upgraded my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 12 to Windows 10 Pro. Between the touchpad driver and causing a BSOD loop and Cortana's search breaking, I had to reinstall it over seven times to get a functional OS....
Or so I thought; until I noticed periodic video corruption playing full screen YouTube...
My family has
2004 Honda Civic Hybrid (5MT)
2005 Honda Civic Ex SE (5MT)
2006 Honda Insight (5MT)
2008 Honda Civic Ex (5MT)
2014 Toyota Corolla Eco (CVT)
Starting in the 2004 (maybe it was 2005) the Insight came standard with rear speakers. So that is already in place for me.
I don't see any US availability for any Michelin Energy Saver tires that are anywhere close to 165/65 R14. Looks like Michelin stopped making them for the US market...
Thank you!
Updated the OP with some pictures.
Fuel economy for the trip back home. Net 500 ft elevation gain with garbage off-brand china tires.
Not too bad.
After years of yearning to own a Honda Insight, it is now a reality
Drove it 100 miles back home and the computer says I averaged ~63 MPG

The 295x2 can guzzle 500w alone. That would leave 150w for the remainder of the system which is enough if you aren't overclocking.
If you had a modern PSU that can do all 650W on 12V it would be conceivable. However, I wouldn't recommend it.
I remember looking into this issue before and the consensus is that unsprung rotating mass, generally has a 3:1 ratio. That is: three pounds of sprung weight is roughly equivalent to 1 pound of unsprung rotating weight.
