the era of overclocking is ending

I can see a difference between my 2500k at stock and at 4.8ghz when I play GTA4. Granted the game is unoptimized, but the difference is night and day.

LCD or Plasma TV for PC Gaming...

I use my 42 inch Panasonic plasma for gaming on my PC and I love it. I can't imagine playing games like Dead Space on a LCD. The blacks are so deep.

ATI 5850: Game audio over HDMI?

I run HDMI from my 5850 to my receiver specifically for 5.1 sound. It works great. As far as I'm aware the 5850 just passes through the sound to my receiver. My receiver shows that it is receiving 5.1 PCM. I don't know about EAX support nor really care. I get 5.1 PCM on all of my pc games...

What do you think of the Panasoning 42" Plasma for gaming monitor?

I just bought a Panasonic 42S1 for what I thought was dirt cheap and so far it has been excellent. Using it to play Xbox360 and Playstation 3 so far and I have no complaints. I will use it as my primary pc monitor when I build my new pc in March or so.

athlon ii x2 250 for sale.

The e5200 is a much better buy imo. Just got one and its currently clocked at 3.85ghz with the stock cooler. These chips would have to drop to around 50ish to be worth it.

Worthwhile Upgrade?

I went from 8800gt to 4850 and now to a 260gtx 216 and damn the difference is huge. I game on a 32inch 1080p tv and now I can run far cry 2 with 4xaa on whereas before I would fill up the mem.

Crossfire + triple buffering and vsync = possible?

I'm upgrading to a build that supports crossfire and already own an 4850, with the prices dropping I figured I'd drop in another card if this was possible. I can't game without v-sync on so I might pass on this for now, thanks for the reply.

I don't see any reviews for that asrock mobo, but it does have everything I want. Do you guys know of any user or any site reviews? I might pull the trigger on it anyways.

I'm giving my dad my current cpu+mobo which consist of an e2180 overclocked to 3ghz. I have been out of the loop for a month or so and I'm not sure whats the best bang for you buck deal. I don't care if its amd or intel, and I will be overclocking this chip, thanks in advance.

Damaged 8800gt?

Just ran 3dmark2001 and got a score of 41561, test completed perfectly. Last time I remember running this I was trying to get 20k lol. Whatever the problem is its getting worse in Assassins creed. The artifacts and such now happen on the loading screen which I find weird.
