no issues so far. The fan controller has it's own power connector also. It's controlling a zalman 9500led, two LED tricools, and one non-led tricool.
you do notice the LED light dim when you turn them down, and brighten when you turn it up. It's actually kind of cool. Bright when it's loud...
it's a vantech nexus NXP-205. it's the one that fits in the 3.5 bay and i don't recommend getting it. I tried a little to find the NXP-201 (5.25 bay) but when I was at fry's i saw this one and made an impulse buy. It is a night-mare installing something into that 3.5 small bay. I highly don't...
i put the 3 120 fans on medium switch and hooked em up to a fan controller:
took two pics just now.

mine is a cabling nightmare. but i got all the cables out of the way of the upper intake fan on the front. Blows directly into my case. The lower fan keeps my 3 hd(two raptors) real cool. i also got a fan controller for the two front and 1 rear fans. the top fan is really silent.
i recently purchased this game for my rig for an upcoming lan party and it performs horribly in vista. i get nasty tearing in the cut scenes during career mode too. I think i read that the games just isn't coded right for vista.
in XP with current 8800gts the games runs like butter in the...
bringing up old thread. Just got this mouse.
I have vista. I plugged it in. and instantly it worked! dpi has 3 settings.
Any reason to update firmware and install razor software if this is everything i need. exactly like mx518 i retired and gave to my brother.
the only reason i would...
I asked the same question in peripherals forum. I think the best way is to get an xbox360 external drive and find out how to get it to run on a PC. I want an internal drive though.
cable cards are coming out from ATI but they are only initially (or maybe always) coming out for OEM computer makers. This is stupid cause i finally want to pay for everything, but i can't
i agree that the hardware is the same usually. That guy hit the nail right on the head.
I say evga because of the OC/modable policy, steup up prog, and the most importantly, they are cheaper!
the thread tittle was "horrible perofrmance"
i thought pegging at 60fps was part of it. going into the teens is also terrible. I just wasn't reading the details right.
i got a free a8n-sli deluxe from a friend when i needed a PCI express mobo for my 8800gts640. works for what i need it. Otherwise I would of gone with a conroe setup like everyone else.
lower than expected frame rates is one thing, but if you notice that they don't go over a nice round number like 60, it's probably v-sync. It caps your FPS based on your monitor refresh rate. If you're running an LCD it's probably 60hz so that's what your max FPS is going to be...
I was having the same dilema 2-1/2 yrs ago.
i decided to get a legal OS and the Hauppage MCE with remote and IR blaster included.
I am so glad I did that because i didn't waste any money now that I went with VISTA premium. Don't ever have to worry if my remote or older software will be...
I had a slot blower, but i dropped an extra 5-10C at load by blowing it out with a fan closer to the vents. It actually blows some of the air back through the vents and out the video slot. The slot blowers pick up the air a couple inches to the right of the vents and not directly over them.
I liked that idea, but i have an x-fi and tv-tuner card.
I got a slot cooler, but the intake for it is too far away from the vents on the GTS.
So i ripped the fan off my AMD stock cooler, and angled it with some zip ties like this guy so it fits between all the cards. It lowered 7C at idle...
