Yes, but then you said "anybody got any ideas on the IDE setup stuff"... and "first time around with IDE RAID"...
So I'm assuming you meant SATA for all of those, rather than IDE?
I have Suse 64bit running on there perfectly. More details are in my post a few pages back.
Edit: For any of you that are wondering everything I have tried so far, the built-in sound, etc. has all worked flawlessly in linux, with full support in the latest kernels. So this is a great setup...
Just a little update: Just installed Suse 10.0 OSS 64-bit version with this board, and everything is running great. Much snappier than my 1.33GHz Socket A Thunderbird :)
Running with:
1GB of Kingston Value Ram
eVGA Geforce 6200
etc. etc.
Have yet to fully configure everything and do...
Just got through installing everything (hsf finally arrived from SVC) and I noticed a pin is missing from the floppy connector. I'm probably never going to use a floppy in the darn thing, so I don't really want to have the hassle of RMAing it, but at the same time it is really bothering me now...
I'm still waiting on my hsf from svc so I haven't hooked everything up yet, but assuming that I have a Paris core with x86-64 instructions enabled is there any major difference between installing the 64-bit linux version and the 32-bit version? Will one be much faster than the other? Or are...
It now says "Limit one per household" but only when purchased between 3/17 and 3/22. So I guess they will be changing something again after today, be it the price, the availability, or something else.
Just called up outpost and got the same story: "Refuse the order, and then order another"... "Yes, I agree that it doesn't make any sense, but right now we can't price match."
If you ask me that's a pretty bad business practice, but then again, it's not my money being wasted.
Damn, looks like I missed out on this one. I already have all the other parts I need to build a new computer, just need a mobo and processor. Any chance anyone knows of any other deals like this? (I'd go for the one above but with all the extra stuff I don't really need it, and it's a bit pricey...
Any particular reason why? It doesn't look bad at 9.99 if it will at least tell me how far I've gone, and average speed. (Even though its not exactly amazing when marked down from 12.99)
Yeah, when I was checking out all the clerks were really surprised of the price and were saying that they wanted them. I doubt if any store has any left by now, or if they do if they will let you get one.
Yeah, same here on the $.01. I think it was just so that the computer would give a receipt or so there was actually a "transaction." Not too bad though, didn't even have to show the internet add, they already knew.
