This is what i went with when i got my new set. Im very happy with it, but i dont have a lot of natural light coming through so not sure how it does in that situation.
"What started out as a value-priced title developed by Cauldron (Civil War: A Nation Divided) eventually got Activision?s full attention?including help from Infinity Ward, Raven and other company heavy hitters?resulting in the Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back that?s landing on store shelves in a few...
So what about the possibility of alien life forms that live for the equivalent of 1,000 Earth years. Traveling at high rates of speed effectively slows time right? So maybe a life form that lives for 1,000 years and is traveling at the speed of light wouldnt consider a trip to a neighboring...
I wonder if i should be trying to overclock further. Just built my new system and am stable at 3.6 with 1.42v. Idle 31, Load 53 core temp.
E6600
Gigabyte ds3
big typhoon vx
antec 900, fans on med.
Went with the ocz 700 because its about the same price as the corsair 620, and im still not sure what type of video card setup i will go with. I will also be overclocking as much as possible.
So after watching some videos of Age of Conan, I got a wild hair and started ordering parts. Would just like to know that im not gonna have compatibility issues.
New Parts
gigabyte ds3
4x1gb g.skill 800mhz
intel e6600

I'd also like a buddy key. On a WoW trial right now and would like to give LOTR a try before committing to what will most likely consume most of my spare
time.
I had a similar situation with my 1800xt. It got progressively worse and eventually completely lost my video signal. I ordered a 1900xt, and still no video signal. Checked my debug lights (should have done this first) and my ram wasnt passing. Switched out the ram for my old sticks and still no...
I'd go with the 537 model. It has more inputs and built in hd tuner. Also has a better video proccessor.

So, it looks like lcd's are really starting to mature. By the time they finally get some new tech out, lcd will probably still be able to compete. Would be nice to have this scaled down to a 26" monitor at the same resloution. I know i'd be willing to break the bank for one.
That is a great price. I paid $120 for these about a year ago and have nothing negative to say about them. Great for gaming. Almost tempted to get another set at this price.
I have my LDBFE 0619WPMW at 2.6 using 1.52 vcore. I'm thinking about running 1.6 vcore to try and get 2.7-2.8 stable. I almost dont care if it dies because it will give me a reason to do a new build.. maybe conroe once they get more reviews on retail parts. So how long should this chip last at...
It is possible to go conroe on the cheap.
E6300 $210
ASRock 775Dual-VSTA $60
ram- supports ddr, not neccessary to upgrade
video- supports agp, not neccessary to upgrade
So a total upgrade cost of $270, minus whatever you can get for your current cpu and mobo.
If you are on a...
Agreed. Wait for someone to give it more juice before discounting it. It may turn out better than most expect. We all know the core can hit much higher than 625mhz, and the ram isnt even hitting its rated speed at stock volts.
I edited the rederer_settings file and set resolution at 1680x1050 with all texture options on high and 16x af. I think the game looks great like this. I get min 30fps with my 1800xt. I do think the game will look much better with 4xaa and no hdr, but the hdr does have a possitive effect with...
You cant adjust height, or rotate for portrait view, but it does have a tilt adjust. Mine sits perfectly eye level on my desk, and my girlfriend just raises the seat position to get eye level viewing. I paid $409 shipped and it was worth every penny.
I got the VX2025wm a couple weeks ago for $409 shipped. I have not had any problems so far. I upgraded from an ultrasharp 17" and I was very suprised at how well this one performs. I mostly play counter strike and I dont notice any ghosting unless I move my mouse side to side very fast, which...
I put some as5 on my 1800xt when I got it and used ati tool to overclock. Running 1.4v 710/820 and the highest recorded temperature i've had after 4 hours of oblivion was 72.5, I have my fan setting at 50% if above 60 degrees and 60% if above 70 degrees. At these setting I usually never hear...
I also recently bought this monitor. Upgraded from my dell 17", and this is so much better. There is some noticable ghosting if I move very fast side to side in fps, but I never notice under normal gaming conditions. And at $409 shipped there is no comparison.
I just decided to see if i could push my G.Skill zx a little further. Im running 3-3-3-8 1T at 259mhz. I havent ran memtest yet, just a 1mil superpi. Hopefully this will be stable.
I would go with the 1900. I dont like the idea of 2 card setups. The ability to run 6x antialiasing would definitely help image quality compared to 4x at 1280x1024. But like others have said if you dont really need the extra power now, why not wait for the new cards, or better yet new games to...
hmm.. I have a p180, neopower480, and dfi ultra-d on the way right now. Was planning on just swapping my opty 146 in and going for 3ghz (currently at 2.74 stock volts). This is very tempting.. but i must resist, I only paid $170 for the 146. But i do have all this swapping out to do anyway. Hard...
I've been running a raidmax case and power supply with rig in sig for 4 months now with no problems. Only 13amps on 12v rail as well, however I just ordered a p180 and antec neopower480. I would have to suggest against running the raidmax psu though, I may have just gotten lucky.
It took me a while to figure out how to install the big typhoon on my asrock dual as well. You have to remove the clips that come with asrock and use the backplate and 4 long screws that came with the typhoon. Its a pain to get the nuts on the screws because of the size of the typhoon. I would...
It's considered a weight loss pill, but it really just speeds up metabolism. It has 200mg caffeine and 200mg ... cant remember what exactly, but it gets me moving.
I was so close to biting on this. I had already entered my credit card information, but the confirmation page showed the $427 with tax and I just couldn't do it. Hopefully some tax free sites will get some deals going after r580 is out.
