vid card died - need mid range AGP replacement

Guys, the 6800GS and 7800GS are not similar to an ATI 9500, they're in a completely different price range. I would suggest a 9800 Pro, or a 6600, or a 6600 GT (the GT is an awesome card if you can find the money--should be around $110-120 depending on rebates). Just make sure you stay away...

When you say reseat the vid card, do you mean the heat sink on the GPU? Or do you mean the whole card in the slot?

DVI?? VIVO??? WHAT?????

Pretty much all video cards these days support DVI, and most have two DVI outs and come with adapters for VGA, so that you can use two DVI or two VGA monitors, or one of each.

Because I just installed the new Gigabyte drivers on top of the old Nvidia ones, and it made no difference. Halo still runs like crap, even though it shouldn't.

Comp freezing under games
