Had a PSU failure recently (exploded). I RMA'ed it (enermax noisetaker 600w) and got a new Noisetaker II. I hooked it up and it wouldn't fully power up my motherboard (DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR). Got standby LEDs, but hitting the power switch would only make it power up for a split second. The new...
It's a PIB so should be covered by AMD.
I hooked up my new PSU to my dad's PC and it powers up fine, so I can take that out of the equation. I also tested my drives and sound card in his PC and they were OK. It seems quite likely that it is the motherboard. I'll see if I can borrow a PCI...
Hello all
Last week my Enermax Noisetaker 600w SLi exploded with a rather impressive cloud of orange sparks and smoke when I tried to switch it on... I RMA'ed it and just got a nice new Noisetaker II today.
I hooked it all up, and my motherboard's flea power LEDs come on, as does the...
Nah, it would take too much time and effort to mod BF2 into something like that. ;)
I bet the next attempt at keeping the franchise alive will be some sort of alternate history 1950s setting (which seems to be flavour of the month right now).
I must say Battlefield Bad Company looks...
why would it be? with the digital out you're bypassing the DACs and outputting the clean digital signal being produced by the card.
As to the original post, you could use a minijack to RCA phono lead to use the digital ins & outs on your sound card & speakers, but I'm not sure if you'd get...
let's set the record straight about a few things...
Crysis: everything seen so far has been running on DX9 hardware. The game will be very scalable - a card supporting SM2.0 is the minimum requirement.
XBox 360: does not use anything remotely like DX9. Has a customised graphics API with...
I have a 7800GTX with a Lanparty NF4, and the end of the card does hang over the chipset fan very slightly. It doesn't actually make contact with it though. I believe the 7900GT is slightly smaller so you should be OK.
CoD 3 seems to be more of a cash-in expansion to CoD 2 than a brand new game. It's not being developed by Infinity Ward, for a start. We didn't get Finest Hour or Big Red One on the PC either.
Personally I couldn't give a sh*t if it's not coming out on the PC... CoD 2 killed my interest in...
there is a Gainward AGP 7800GS which has 20 pipes enabled, like the PCI Express 7800GT. It also has 512MB which is overkill IMO. Still, that's by far the best one you can get at the moment.
and if you're paranoid about someone trying to undelete the files... after using the restore CD, just fill up the hard disk with some junk and delete it. Then do it again if you really want to be sure.
Apparently it will support the Ageia PPU.. can you imagine how amazing it'll be with fire/cloud/etc particles being done on the PPU as well as all the other physics like moving/bending foliage?
So, what we're saying is that a single player FPS where you fight for the Nazis is not okay, but it's okay to fight for the commies (like in CoD), who, let's face it, weren't entirely innocent either?
apologies for resurrecting an old thread
I'm sticking with my skt 939 system until there is a stable, mature and inexpensive platform for vista to run on (could be AM2, could be Conroe, who knows)... and also not until after the next-gen DX10 cards have gone through one or two refreshes. If there are any must-have games I might be...
