Correction:
1 Compaq LTE 5300 lap top - real old I think it's only a P133. Hard drive is dead, will include charger
THe LTE5300 is a P133 with 32MB of RAM (wow!). The hard drive and CDROM both work but the battery is dead. Windows 95 is loaded on the machine and I just booted it and...
OK, here's an update. Maybe I'll put this stuff up for sale. It's more than I thought.
Processsors
2 Celeron 300 (slot) that over clock to 450
1 Celeron 366 (370) that I had trouble overclocking to 550
1 Celeron 600 (370) that I over clocked to 900 worked pretty good for me as I recall...
Hi Guys,
I appreciate the responses, but I already have more computers than I need. Heck with these $50 to $80 motherboard and CPU combo prices, there is only one PC left that has not been upgraded, my printer server. The other 5 are all over 900 MHz with most being 1800+ athlons or faster...
I feel kind of guilty just throwing some of this stuff away.
couple of BH-6 motherboards
Celeron 300s that over clock to 450
old memory
old compaq laptop
It seems like such a waste but no one wants this old crap. I save some of this stuff for years before I finally toss it.
What do you guys...
Wow, this is just nuts. Although not ideal for hardcore gamers, this $35 setup probably meets or exceeds the true needs of 98% of all PC users out there.
Who would have thought that we could get this much computational power for $35. Just amazing.
Now the rant.
I WANT MY FRYS! Why oh why...
Salvador,
When you call customer service ask for Charity, seriously that's her name.
She was very helpful with me when I had my issue and even called me back and sent an email. Pretty amazing for a internet company.
Good Luck,
Pigseye
Wow, I'm sorry Salvador.
I didn't think the cases were that bad and I've been through a lot of cases too. They are cheap, but for $20 shipped to your door I had very low expectations. I wasn't disappointed when I got them and now that 2 are in use running ECS K7S5A motherboards without any...
Hi Ken,
Yup that's it. The spaceship on the side is kind of fugly but my 5 year old daughter thinks it's cool. Good enough for me since it's ehr machine.
Actually not a bad little case for the money, but I think I only paid $25 when this model was on sale.
I might take the spaceship off the...
Hi Kenrippy,
I'm almost positive it has the handle, and switches on the top since my case looks almost exactly like this one except mine came with a blue LED fan on the side. I really don't like the setup to much but my kids think it's neat.
Yes you can lift it with the handle and it seeems...
tempting but without CC coverage if the camera doesn't show up. I'm not going to try it.
If anyone else does, let us know how it turns out!
Edit: One thought, If this company is legit I bet getting delivery would take at least 1 to 2 months. Maybe they are playing the "Sell today at...
Hi Salvador,
Glad I could be of help. I can't guarantee you anything, but my systems are running on a daily basis and being used by kids for games and internet with no issues. Hopefully you won't have any problems either.
All,
Regarding long shipping times, actually to shipping WI has not...
Salvador and Daclayman,
JNC H7650-2 Black/Silver Mid Tower Case W/ 300 Watt & Front USB - This one has the k7s5a and Duron
JNC 4JA8861(A) Midtower Case W/300 Watt Power Supply - This one is being built into a k7s5a and 1800 athlon
I can't find the other case I ordered but it looks like this...
I've purchased 2 "cheap" cases from Ebuyer and have been very happy with them for the price and application. The cases are a little flimsy but for the price they are actually pertty nice.
Both systems have K7S5A motherboards. One has a duron overclocked from 900 to 1.2 gig and the other is an...
I'm not a gamer nor have I used PS or XBOX controllers before but I like the controller. Other game controllers I use are the Microsoft FF steering wheel, Logitech FF Joy stick, and the MS sidewinder.
Sure it's made of cheap plastic but it works fine for my use (madden 2004). As a cheap...
I'm a newbie at game controllers and need some help. I plugged in the controller and Windows XP recognized it as a USB Joystick. Is that correct?
When I try to calibrate it does not recognize the analog joysticks. If I push the mode button it recognizes the joystick but the direction pad...
OK, I gotta ask. Why does it matter?
How much better could the Japanese CD-Rs be than the ones made in Taiwan?
For everyday use like game copying, so my kids (all under the age of 8) don't trash the originals, I really don't care that much about CD-R "quality." I'l'l just burn another...
Bought 2 of them and they are both running at 950MHz at 1.8V with no issues. Cheap upgrade and great for a slower PC.
I may purchase one more for humor. Got some old ABit BH-6 motherboards laying around that would make great young kids PCs.
Thanks Again,
Pigseye
wrong forum and not that hot of a deal!
Hydro,
Seriously, I suspect you did this by accident. There is a for sale forum to post in.
Good luck with your sale.
Pigseye
Got it! Actually, I found it in the $winnt$.ini file in the system32 directory.
here's a little program to find it for you. I jsut tested it and it works great on my version of W2000 and supposedly works for all versions of windows.
