Bigsm00th - Hold on... I DO see similar behavior. My latest run of Prime95 had a fail on core1 after 19 hours. Vcore is set to 1.52 (bios reading) and under a load, was showing 1.50-1.52 on the Epox status app. After core1 stopped, Vcore was showing 1.55-1.56. I will have to look at this...

Just another positive comment for the Epox 9NPA Ultra. I have one with a PC Power & Cooling Turbo Cool 425W running an Operton 170 at 2.46 GHz. No drop at full load, two instances of Prime 95.

AXP 3200 vs A64 3200

Not that I am a big fan of this other site, but the CPU charts show a pretty big improvement in performance going from an Athlon xp 3200 to an Athlon 64 3200. It might be worth checking the charts out.

Maybe I don't understand what you mean, but I would never consider a computer "stable" that had any errors from memtest. In real world situations, an occasional memory error might cause a blue screen or lock up, but worse, it might not show up as anything except that some of your data is...

A64 vs P4-HT !

You got that right! I was just trying to help out banibratadutta. :) I just put my A64 system together a few weeks ago, and I love it. I currently have a 90nm 3200+ in it, clock at 2.5 GHz, with a 6800 GT card. It is sweet. Definitely better for playing Doom 3 and Far Cry than the P4 system...

Just to clarify, I meant that there is a big difference between running concurrent applications on a P4 with hyperthreading turned on and with a P4 and hyperthreading turned off. I DO wish that the A64 had hyperthreading. The A64 would then multitask (with concurrent apps) better than it...

My 9NDA3+ has been great so far. My only complaint is that the USDM app doesn't seem to update the CPU temp correctly. You may have already seen this, but there is an updated bios at the Epox website. I haven't tried it, yet, but probably will this weekend.

It wouldn't hurt to try it. You will have more flexibility tweaking the settings by hand, but you could try the general feature just to see how the system performs. If it doesn't work, then you can try tuning things up manually.

Just bought a 3000+ 939 ... o/c details inside

Sorry, I haven't read through the whole thread, but if everthing is completely stable, you should be able to run Prime95 forever. I have a 3000+ 90nm that will usually get an error in Prime95 after anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, but ran for over 24 hors once. I still wouldn't call it...

The LCD displays FF after booting up. That's normal. I had an Epox 8KHA+ that had the same LCD feature and would display FF after booting up. The manual says that a FFh code means "Int 19h attempted". Int 19h is the BIOS command to atttempt a boot from the hard drive. That's the last command...

Hmmm.... I've never had a system that I could not run Prime95 on with no errors. I think having Priime95 failures are a pretty good sign that something is not right, even if it doesn't show up running apps and other benchmarks.
