Ting Tangs... Is it strange that I remember that song from the Victoria Secret show a year or so ago? Odd how certain connections get burned in your memory a little better than others. :)

I think that publication single handedly made Gateway a success when it took off. I remember their glossy cow colored ads were a notch above everyone else's. Lots of stuff changed over the years. I think the demise of Computer Shopper came when it became common place for every do it...

WARM: Microsoft 6000v2 Wireless keyboard+mouse

I grabbed one today since I needed a new keyboard anyway. Works pretty well, the keys are sort of soft, but I'll get the hang of it. Mouse isn't too shabby either. Good deal for ~$30.

Damn cool video

I can't play the stupid thing for more than 10 seconds without it stopping. I've always had this thing with YouTube videos and can't find anything of real help to improve it. Why can't there just be a buffer setting that lets you increase your buffer time? ARGH!!!

Exactly, I feel the same way. I really liked it when the series first started, but now they just go way too overboard. I would rather see them do something sensible and help 5 families in need rather than helping one 5 times more than they need.

$450K house is low income?

You're a pretty big anomoly even by my midwest suburban standards. That's a lot of value for what you paid. That said, $450K would buy most of the nicer highest income homes here. I would say the $60-80K range is probably the cheapest single family housing in my area.

What feature on a car would stop you from buying it?

Was it the Mazda RX that had the Roto engine? I read a few places that it was only reliable for about 75-80000 miles. Not sure if that's true or not, but it's enough to make me say forget it. Poor value is about the only feature I can say would kill the deal for me. Well, that and hot...
