Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'll save some cash and go with a USB switch. A full on KVM switch seems more trouble and expense than it's worth.

I was just reading about that. A good USB switch should be a lot cheaper, and let me swap my DAC (which controls all audio output and input) and my webcam. Manually switching the monitor inputs wouldn't be the worst solution as it would let me use both PCs at once if I wanted to run netflix...

Sorry I wasn't clear there. That's with a device connected. Modem -> Router -> switch. All wall jacks appear to terminate at the low voltage box in individual runs, and are plugged into the switch properly. With a laptop, I've plugged into every single wall outlet, and get no connectivity.

Looks like it was the slot after all. I managed to cram my crazy man fingers behind a mITX mobo in a Nano S and get the drive into the rear slot. I've had no issues since. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. Both done and no dice. I even tried cleaning the connectors. I'm working on tossing it back in my other PC at the moment just to rule out a bad drive. I sort of hope that's it as it's still under warranty. I'm afraid it may mean RMAing the board otherwise.
