AMD Turion X2 Ultra ZM-82 2.2Ghz?

it has 2MB cache, i was wondering how this processor performs, or at least a comparison of performance to lets say, a T6400 or T6500. i cant find any benchmarks or any more information than mere specs. can anyone chip in? thanks!

i just read the system buyer's guide for $1k to $2k and the value system suggested the E8500 instead of the E8400. is there any reason why? i searched around for the e8400 here on AT and seems there are some OC'ing problems, so is that why?? is the e8500 just better at OC'ing in general or does...

Upgrading Gaming PC or Mac Pro? Advice needed

learn to read. he said his SUGGESTED system, which, when overclocked, could easily get a 50% performance boost over his mac, not to mention the 4850 and E8400 are both awesome for gaming.

Question on my build

what matters on a GPU is the number of shader processors and pixel pipelines. You could have a 2gb x1300 at 1ghz and it still wouldn't be faster than a significantly downclocked 4850 because it has more of the pipelines and of course uses a different architecture. just a note....

I recently shot lots of family holiday videos with my fuji f30 but accidentally deleted them. I used zero assumption recovery to get most of my pictures back, but that program doesnt support .avi files, or any sort of recovery for video. can anyone recommend me a freeware/trial program/not too...

Temporary PSU: Antec Neo HE 380w or TruePower TPII 380w?

the fortron should serve you perfectly fine, although our master around here would say otherwise. the difference between the neo and the TP is that the Neo has an 80mm(actually much quieter)and the TP has a 120mm. I believe also the Neo has higher efficiency, as well as having a a big bias...

CD Ripping ?

if you have the device to support it, OGG FTW!!!! Sounds MUCH better at lower bitrates and overall even better than AAC, and takes up even less space as well. It does take up a bit more battery power in portable devices because apparently it takes more decoding power to listen to OGG files, but...

X-Fi elite pro is prolly the best - BUT DONT GET IT PLEASE I BEG YOU(as said b4). Are you running a recording studio in your room of some sort or doing something even remotely close to that? if not, get the X-Fi XtremeMusic which IM SURE they have in Singapore if they have the top-of-the-line...

7600GT is the best mid-range solution for now, but the ABSOLUTE lowest end you could go for BF2 = 9800 pro. in which, you could go looking for a good used 9800 pro from ebay or FS/FT forums. If he could shell out $230, it would be a VERY good investment and it would last that person much longer...

Zalman 9500 or Thermalright XP120 for ASUS A8N32-Deluxe?

isn't it harder to replace the fan though? I remember seeing a guide in SPCR about how to replace the fan in a VF700, a 7700Cu, and other coolers with some mods. Correct me if I'm wrong and there's some new mechanism in the 9500 that allows for easy fan swapping without mods.
