So when the computer turns on I am prompted to go into the MOBO setup. From here if I select to boot off of the HDD windows 7 will run no problem. Any ideas how to fix this? I know boot priority is in the right order, and I am using a an Asus P877-V motherboard. Thanks.
I just finished my build and I am working on my drivers. I just installed the video drivers and it now has a black border around the edges which I have learned is called overscan now my question is how do I get rid of it? Thanks
Edit I am using a 7850 GPU attaching it to my ASUS monitor with...
So I made a partition for windows XP the minimum size possible to fit the OS thinking that was all I needed and I would use the remaining space to save everything else. In the process of installing the OS I didn't partition the the remainder of the disk until after I had already installed...
So I can purchase a college windows 7 upgrade but I currently don't own a copy of windows xp. Is it possible to download a trial version of Xp and then purchase the upgrade so I have a fully licensed version of 7 on my computer? Unless someone has a better idea or something more inexpensive. Thanks!
I have a 600 watt modular PSU. I have the 24 pin cable in the supplemental 8 pin for the CPU but the PSU has a 4 pin cable built in and I am not sure where it attaches to. Please help
Now I am considering the R3 as well good grief this isn't getting easier. I will probably go with one of the quieter cases and then just add fans as need depending on internal temps.
So I am working on a new build and was planning on using Ripjaw DD3 1600. I was worried about clearance issues with the larger heat sinks they have so I opted to go with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231460
instead because of the smaller profile and I got them on sale for the...
I just feel like with any of the silent case options I will have to add more fans to the mix when I OC bringing the price even higher, I have read less than stellar reviews of the R3 heatwise when ocing
So I have come down to 4 cases :
Bitfenix Shinobi
Fractal Arc Midi
Antec p280
Corsair 550D
As you can see I like the minimalist style. I will be running a 2500K and a 7850 and only a 1T HDD now and maybe a SSD in the future. I also think at some point I will at least mildly OC the...
I need to purchase a MOBO to go along with my i5 2500k that I will be purchasing at MC. I am looking for something mid range and the P8Z77-V LX for $90 as a combo seems like a steal. Only thing that I am thinking is that I will need a wifi adapter which is going to be more money so if there was...
I will definitely play FPS and DIII might get back into WoW but I don't think that will matter graphically. CS: GO most likely. Keeping it under $200 shipped would be great. As far as USB 3.0 goes I don't really know what the advantages would be except I know it will be relatively faster...
$15 on the PSU price difference it self then another ~$20 because there is a deal with the PSU I posted for a free Optical drive. I plan on putting that money towards a monitor or saving it towads a SSD in the future.
I am hoping and thinking that I will be able to afford a 240 GB SSD in the near future so thats why I am kind of holding off so I can get more than just a boot disk out of it. I really like the case because not only is it quite with the ability to add more fans it doesn't look UBER LEET!!1111...
Its kind of odd how you look down at this PSU and then the site you tell me to look at gives it an 8.5 only draw backs being stiff cables and a loud fan
So I am trying to build a rig and I need every component including the monitor and I am trying to get the best bang for my buck. If I use my credit card reward points I can get this samsung tv
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN22D5.../dp/B004VRJ3E2
at no cost to me. Its been like 6 years...
So I have a $60 dollar gift certificate laying around as well as $45 dollars from reward zone certificates and I am working on a new build. Was just curious if anyone had any idea how get the most milage out of what I have. I know best buy isn't the place to go for good deals but $105 off my...
Thanks thats a great guide although I think the inverter is riveted to the bracket I'm going to try and remove it. Also how I double check the res? I believe its the same as urs but will my laptop boot and post with out a lcd attached I had it connected to a monitor.
Ok so before I order my replace LCD for my XPS m1530 I wanted to make sure I checked I could get the old LCD out and check the s/n etc. As I was taking it out I was able to remove LCD but it seems I couldn't remove the inverter with out some serious effort to the point where I don't think it was...
As a college student myself you would be surprised how little you end up moving your laptop around I learned this after buying one frosh year. My advice is go for a desktop, you can either get simlar performance for a better price or far better performance for only slightly more. IF you have...
This comp has a webcam but that doesn't affect the LCD I'm pretty sure. I can't seem to find a lid and lcd combo already put together and suggestions as to where to look. Also I see some LCDs bumdled with converters, do I need one?
Shopped online and found the part for about $175 so for that price is worth to replace the LCD and not just scrap the whole system. I hoping maybe to play a little WoW on it and and then just general computer use. I've built my own desktop PC a number of years ago and messed around opening a...
Go to Bodybuilding.com and look for optimum nutrition fish oil, I know there are cheaper brands out there but this is still pretty cost effective and I hold the company in high regard.
